The best part about SoD for me has been hitting 60 and farming all of my pre-bis. There’s a ton of new weapons, trinkets and armor and a whole new Demon dungeon for 55+ that’s fairly challenging. You can even get a Gorehowl axe.
completely agree on the rated battlegrounds! it would completely fix the premade vs pug issue that we've dealt with for a long time. Just have premade queue as a separate, rated bg queue where honor/rep rewards are high, and add a rank system to it too. Intense premade vs premade games in wsg/ab is sooooo fun in classic, but it rarely ever happens.
I'm also thinking about going back to Wow Classic. I have a problem because I don't know whether to choose SOM, SOD, or maybe cata... and whether it's worth coming back at all. Thanks for this video ;)
@@Asoldy I finished after Phase II, so I'm level 40. Do you know what the current search for runes at low levels looks like? Will I be able to collect runes on my own at lvl 40-50, because I may not find anyone willing to help me?
I played it all, if u start fresh now in SOD, then you are SOL!!! no one wanna group with lobbies ( I started from start and had a geared pally at 25) came to check it out 2 days Aho and got a rogue and a mage to level 20 ( no dungeon runs, no groups, it sucks!!) then there's Deviate Delight, fresh Classic Era server where im having the most fun now) retail??? hell no unless u like transom and mounts like I do (that the only reason im there) Cata? got a hunter at 85., not bad at all, fast pvp q's , fun, easy to make gold
I think the only project they have worth playing, beyond retail is their progression servers, i.e. currently Cataclysm Classic. Why? It's the only thing carrying your investment forward. It's that simple. After Cata we'll get MoP, then WoD etc. That makes it worth playing. In all likelihood, they are sundowning retail with the next set of expansions, starting with TWW. After that, I think the focus with regard to WoW shifts to their progression servers, which will roll through TWW and the next two, then start over. Spending your time on these short lived one-off projects, is a poor use of it. Blizzard is vehemently opposed to the idea of "FRESH," as we've seen, and so is the vast majority of players that exist outside of the private server community that attached itself to the project.
Totally. I know they mentioned Season of Discovery being "Seasonal" but for the most part I like where it's at. Its a mix of retail but more leaning towards classic with runes added which I thought was a good idea.
