Always wanted the Mutron, got a Ph350. Still want a Mutron. They are both crying out for a tone control, dig the clearness of the maxon and the thinner squishy sound of the Mutron. Mutron sound more Page-y.
Mu Tron takes over your tone way too much it’s too intense unless that’s what you are after. Maxon blends with the natural guitar tone better. It’s a better “guitarists” phaser. In stereo it’s truly fantastic as well
Yes I agree. On a guitar in a song the Maxon sounds better to me. Adds a nice effect without drawing attention to itself. The Mutron has its place too, but it takes over the tone and I could only use that very sparingly.
