@@durdamscatalogue Hello Durdam, I have a question that recently I have shortlisted three Phd funded positions in Germany and all of them are from the same university in the same lab but they are relevant to my degree of masters and research area with different topics to almost similar professors.Should i apply all three of them ? I am looking forward to your reply. Thank you for your time.
Thank you so much for making this video , it really helped us a lot. Could you also make a video on Structural Phd and industrial Phd. What are the pros and cons of both of them ?
Hello sir, Hope you are doing well I have a question regarding phd Why everyone is only taking about phd position....I couldn't find any information How to get admission in Structured phd/Planned phd
Hi! Kindly make a video in the field of Social Sciences especially Sociology or Gender Studies or Women Violence related (Phd). I shall be very thankful.
hello durdam, great content!! I was thinking about applying to hamburg university (i am a medical student) and i want to get a phd degree about gastroenterelogy. So from what I undestrand from your video is the minimum salary for a phd student is 1400 euro? thats minimum right? because hamburg is an expensive city and I do not have the resources to finance myself other than my salary. ????
Hello Sir, this is deepika patra has a query as already I have said about studying in Germany, I have completed master in course based,so can it be possible for applying for master in Research . ( Mresearch) course, before applying for Phd.
Sir, in my master i didn't take thesis so can i apply for phd in germany. But i do many assignments related to research papers. Is there any chances to get admission in phd (Germany)
Saturday Sunday off day we could do part time job or not because being a family man apart from stiphen few more money required for child education because now i am working in a company since 9 years and in crossponding fied need to persue my phd from Germany, i had plan for next year ,what you say
It could work but during your PHd you have enough work that it's hard to work on the weekends. Plus Phd salary is generally enough to take care of your family.
Sir, I have got an interview call from FAU for a PhD position. I am preparing for the interview. Can you guide me on where to focus my preparation for this interview.
I have a separate video on the interview preparation stage. You can watch that to understand the main focus points. Here is the link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6_ybBeg4uBw.html Majorly, focus on your ppt, make it short, concise and to the point. Try to cover as many points as possible that indicate that you can handle the PhD project work.
All supervisors are very professional. Outside lab do not expect to mingle a lot but they are all very friendly and supportive. There are always exceptional cases. But overall very environment is provided to do your research work.
Hi jyoti are you in Germany doing PhD Physics? Actually I am also a physics student doing my master in physics. It's my dream to do my PhD from Germany. Can you please share your experience.
@@Fatima-tanveer786 I am not studying in Germany right now...,I am college student (electrical major) but I also want to go for PhD in physics there....
Sir please elaborate about transcripts.. application date is close and I'm confused about it that do we need to courier it at the very initial stage or upload its picture during application submission or it is sent after selection ?
Sending hard copy of your transcripts are not necessary unless they ask for it. This used to be the case in earlier days. Now, if you just send a scanned copy of your educational documents, that is sufficient in 90% of universities. Once you get selected and come here, they would ask you to bring the originals for verification.
@@durdamscatalogue thank you so much sir for this information. I'm really thankful to you. Just one more question. That means I need to get at least one copy of transcript from my University and I'm doubtful about WES?
62k euro per annum is very unlikely, but I would recommend to check it on the official Leipzig university website. Even if you sum up the Gross salary of a top paid PhD student per annum it would still not sum up to 62k Euro. But if you are calculating this over the complete PhD duration, then sure, 62k is possible.
Hi, I got selected as phd in Biochemistry at university of potsdam golm but i do not have any scholarships for my studies right now so have applied for blocked account for visa processes. So, Can i be able to apply for scholarships after reaching Germany and what are the possibilities of getting a stipend? Like will i be able to get a stipend 100% or should i have to do a part time job for my living? Can you please say how much money do you spend in your phd research per month?
If you do not have any scholarship, then in the blocked account you would need to show about 11300 euros in the first year to come to Germany. There is no guarantee that you will get a 100% stipend. But you need to apply for scholarship on DAAD website. From there you might get the money. If nothing works out, then you can work part time jobs here and earn money. Monthly expenses can range from 500 to 1000 euros depending on the city that you will live in and on your own requirements and expenses.
Currently, I do not have any free slots on my calendar. But you can message me on linkedin or my email. I will respond to your questions as soon as I can.
