rather you intended to or not, you have taken a lot of your image from Kappa Kappa Psi, The way you step, the colors, the prominent use of the PSI.,as does member of Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity. This is not a good look for members of Kappa Kappa Psi because we are known exclusively for the image that this organization portrays and if something were to happen with these young men it could potentially cause harm to Kappa Kappa Psi. Also I am from Detroit and their a lot of high school fraternities. I am a member of one myself, however I don't believe that Fraternities have a place in a high school or middle school setting. A fraternity (or fraternal organization) is an organized society of men associated together in an environment of companionship and brotherhood; dedicated to the intellectual, physical, and social development of its members. Last I checked there were young men but not men on a High School Level. I am not bashing your org in any way I am simply stating the of the actions of this group could have adverse consequences on Kappa Kappa Psi, Which I am a member of. I think that it is an excellent thing to want to serve your community and you perspective high school bands and where as imitation is the greatest form of flattery I think that you can serve your bands in a manner that is not consistent with the image of Kappa Kappa Psi. you men of Phi Psi Chi keep moving upward....Bruhs AEA
Wait, Bruhs Members of PPCi, I will give you the credit for the things that you are "trying" to do far as music. Lets me explain this without being insolent. The problem that my brothers have (PROUD MEMBER OF KAPPA KAPPA PSI NATIONAL HONORARY BAND FRATERNITY INC. 1919) there is way too many things that are like US! Second we feel that there is no reason to have a High School Fraternity, this coming from a FOUNDER of one. Please understand we are not "haters"! We all (on this post) have went to Intercollegent Band, the second highest honor for a college bandsmen next to being KKPsi so lets freeze that. As Brandon said you all have upset alot of people but I cant say its all on you because you simply saw something good and wanted to be a part of it. WHOEVER FOUNDED YOU GUYS IS THE ISSUE! You said that the founder was Phi Mu Alpha, thats great. Even Bigger question is why do you not look like them is a question on everyones mind. I tried to defend you so I Googled you, Binged you, Wiki you and cant find anything. Here is were it gets deeper, I contacted california secretary of state. There is no such Phi Psi Chi on record. I made a call for you guys because I trying to look out for you guys, nothing on file. Lucky for you guys you have papers in New York stating that you have your paperwork in. Good Job. The main point is that you look like PSI, you throw like PSI, colors like PSI, call like PSI but NOT PSI. We EARNED the right to do everything we do. How would you feel if you saw a band with the same uniform, marching the same way, attention the same way but not you band? YOU WOULD BE PISSED! That is the same way we feel. The fact the we bust our a** with the Save the Music Foundation making sure that you have band programs is a slap in the face. It started with just trying to get information and the convo went left. i will close with saying this, Like it not not you should be held accountable for your actions. Come up with your own thing. I strongly advise never to question a man on the purposes of his organization. That man have been a member almost half your life. That a OG talkin. AEA to the bruhs and FU who got a problem with it.
Let me explain simple - this organization grew away from the founder. They were never to be on RU-vid, they were a JR frat/soro. The organization was meant to help the founder to plant his music programs nationwide, creating a strong community. The organizations letters are PHI PSI CHI PSI PHI FIERAMENTE. The letters bow to Phi - Phi Mu Alpha. The letters bow to Psi - Kappa Kappa Psi. The letters bow to Chi Music. Firmamente is their own secret letter. The colors Grey, Blue, White and Black. Black they bow to Phi Mu Alpha, Blue they Bow to Kappa Kappa Psi. White they are showing you they are a junior organization. Grey - Their own fraternal color. This organization once again grew away outside of the band room. Yes, they do some things like Psi, by supporting the band director, some things like Phi by being great musicians, but primarily the goal was to introduce them to concept of brotherhood and community which they had not. The goals also included them being able to enter the elite ranks of KKPsi, PhiMuA and the Divine 9, which they have. You think they step as tight as KKpsi? Not even close. The double paraphernalia, lack of etiquette and responsibility. The gang mentality that came after I left, as well as them not upholding the standards set in their fraternity manual and crossover materials is truly the problem here. These boys and girls have moved on and I hope they dissolved in my honor. This organization was never meant to be incorporated, until it reached a college level school that didn't charter the Phi and KKPsi. So is this a clone of KKPsi? Not at all, how would one outside of the organization 🤔 know anything about the inside? Secondly, why would one ever share the secrets, of their own order, a cardinal sin. This idea was original. If you let it continue - it could have been the precursor to a network of high school honorary societies, but one thought too highly of said goal. In the end the pursuit of quality music in America was the goal. The boys and girls helped to run 4 nationally award winning programs, some are band directors today, and we are proud of them for their incredible work. Inventory, music library, instrument repair, fundraising, community service, conflict resolution, recruiting, and they still have an incredible reputation in their community. I walk the streets safely.
So you all are made up of non college band members, but in this video you all are clearly playing music most college bands play Neck. When were you all founded and where
high school some of the people in this video are alumni. but all members of the fraternity pledged and crossed while they were in high school (being that it is a high school band and music fraternity).

Ok this is just crazy! Why do you feel that you can take Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity Inc. www.kkpsi.org/ and copy our entire image. Nothing about your "Group" of high shcool grads is original. NOT 1 single thing. The idea of coming up with a group is find but to try and be a 100% copy of another organization is sad. If you guys want to be remembered for doing somthing great? Come up with your own style, your own look, and not knock off Made in China, flea market, back alley, Bootleged Cheap Copies of a Real National Honoray Band Fraternity.
this is a HIGH SCHOOL BAND AND MUSIC. FRATERNITY................ HIGH SCHOOL ....... HIGH SCHOOL. idk what you arent understanding. the only similarity we have with kkpsi is that we service band and music programs. there are plenty of our members that went on to college and became kkpsi and we have plenty of kkpsi supporters that have been supporting us since day one. once again the only thing our organizations have in common is servicing band programs. once again we are a HIGH SCHOOL fraternity im not asking you to support us ( we have plenty of support ) how ever you just came off extremely disrespectful and unprofessional and you have proven to be a horrible representation of your organization.
majority of "new" ideas are based upon an already existing concept. So of course the idea of an organization helping to better HS band and music programs is not a "100%" original. But as my young brother stated this is a HIGH SCHOOL band & music Fraternity. Operation on a HIGH SCHOOL level. i mean i don't know how else to state it. Rather than you coming down on a young High School student trying to better his community through music, how about we uplift him and his organization encourage them to keep up the good work and prosper. Your an Adult, act like one
