2 tears for me. 1 for the kid playing, 1 for Phil Collins NOT playing that part. Sounded like a page of the past turned, strange feeling for an old man like me 😉
It Hurts my Feelig that Phill cant be as he want to be,my Heart will always go for my Body Phill, yeah sad as it is,but we all get older...I wish my Friend Phill long lasting Live,he have done alot ,gave alot, and made all of us Happy. with his Music.i will never foget, and i´m 57 years old myself....He is an Genius.....Got my Ticketis safe to see him for the last Tour.He is the greates Drummer,Singer ever......Mr Phill Collins,i wish you all the best ......4Ever....
I was born in 83 ' & I absolutely LUVVVVVVVVVV Phil but what adds to this beautiful situation is that Phil passed the torch to his son .. JUS GORGEOUS 😩🤌🏾🤌🏾🤌🏾🤌🏾🤌🏾🤌🏾🤌🏾🤌🏾🤌🏾🤌🏾🤌🏾🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I bet Phll was just crying inside, he was so damn proud of his son and everything he's accomplished so far in his life. Way to go Nicholas you made your dad proud
Oh my gosh, I just love watching his son Nicholas playing with his dad so much. Don’t know why, but it just brings me joy to see them together on stage.
DITTO...Had this Old Army sergeant in tears. Just a wonderful scene. Experience for Phil. Two sons following him in drumming arena. He did wonderful job in the end. He survived and excelled.
@@susanbaumgaertner9336 Yeah, Melanie Gabriel side profile looks like Peter when he was young. Nice when he included her in OVO album and then the growing up tours.
Phil can no longer play drums due to wrist problems but his young Son is well on his way of carrying the torch...God Bless them. Phil is a legend that will live in his music forever.
Any emotional pain Phil Collins may have felt for not being able to the drums during that world famous drum fill was erased by his son right there. Awesome!
This song is worth crying for.. It is about Phil and his childhood education memories! Words will only say so much & put that into a #1 best seller song!wow what Difference
Nic clearly took after his dad in more ways than one. He’s pure class... Just like Phil has always been! I think that can be said about all his children... Thank Goodness!
This guy is an icon no doubt and a real part of the soundtrack of my life. As a gen X guy he was a prevailing influence and now my kids appreciate him. Timeless period.
I've always loved in the air tonight! I grew up in the '80s and just because I grew up in the 80s doesn't mean I don't like the eighties I love you Phil Collins did some pretty good songs in the 80s!
Absolute credit to Nicholas to nail that song and hope he will continue to follow his fathers footsteps to become one of the worlds greatest drummers - well done and my thoughts and prays go out to Phil - that song has been with me since I first heard it at 11 years old from the neighbours up the hill who used to play it late at night during parties an now I'm 53 and still thrash it out on the record player frequently for the neighbours to enjoy
I heard, “get ready”.. exactly what I would say to my daughter when she was three… we‘d be driving in the van… This song came on, and I would tell her: “get your drumsticks ready!“.. She didn’t miss a beat! ❤️
His kit is like an exact mirror of Phil's. Somehow I expected him to be left handed on the drums as well. That's some gig for a kid barely out of school! It's wonderful to see father and son but it makes me sad that Phil seems so frail. There's a really good interview with Nick about his drums and boy, the guy is so mature and professional about his music. These will be lifetime memories for him. Hope he makes it big in the business for a long career. We need a great original band. It's also kind of fun that he has 10x as much hair on top as Phil (or I) ever did😀. I used to see how my hair loss compared with Phil at the same age as me but I got well ahead of him by age 40.😖☹🙄
Thank you Nicholas is all that is needed said!! Your father and this song played such a big role to all us 80s teenagers, I hear it and I'm automatically taken back to my Friday nights as a teenager and watching Miami Vice. Thank you for keeping us old folks feeling young even if only for the brief time of a IN THE AIR TONIGHT song!!
Good job kid. Watching you count out your time in pure anticipation while waiting to come in was the showmanship of experts of This craft! Don't ever lose that.
I have been a huge fan of Phil collins and Genesis since the good days of the 80s..and to see how amazing and talented his son is and how strong Phil is continuing to remain I s a beautiful thing..
Nic !! You nailed it !!! Soooo Proud of you !!!!! I have listened to this song 🎵 soooooo many times over the years ….. adoring you Father …and NOW … you carry on the torch !!! ROCK ON !!!! ❤❤❤
A great father passes on a rich legacy to his children, and great children, accept it, and run with it!.... Like in this instance! God bless you both! You're a gift to this earth!
Each time I hear this song it is like the first time, and also a beat and song within my heart forever. And to see his son picking up the sticks is indescribable. Love you, Phil.
OK, this kid is no joke. Check out it his band 5800 and take a look and hear just how good this kid is. Besides, no father would let his kid play on his tour just because he was my son. He would have to be exceptionally good and above standard and this kid hits the mark. This is so awesome and I hope I get a chance to see and hear Phil and his kid on tour.
Love Phil Collins, his voice sounds the same. Despite the fact he is sitting, we are all getting older, getting older is not a crime. Rock on Phil, that is one bad ass song.
Fantastisk fantastisk 💯
Get it Nick.. was waiting for the bum bum bum bum bum bum - and just groove.. oh yeah you got it Nick.. swwweett! Where the heck have I been.. in a cave.. all this great stuff.. wow..
All of Phil's children have inherited some form of his incredible talent. Simon is a singer/songwriter (and underrated). Lily has the acting gene. And Nic clearly has the drumming genius. Time will tell about Matt (but he may be more like his beautiful Mama which is also awesome)! Thank you for spreading your genius Phil! lol
I have raised 3 AWESOME kids....are successful in life..... no drugs, no smoking and no alcohol.....I have played in bands all my life and my practice space is FULL of everything......but none of my kids chose to play music even though it was all available to them.....and i gently pushed them.....so for Phil to be onstage and trust his young son at 16 to pull this off is just amazing.....Jason Bonham, Zak Starkey......I would die to have one of my kids onstage with me.........but I digress...
