Truly a living legend. It really saddens me to see how frail he is, thank you Phil for so many years of superb music, and the nostalgia all these years past.
This is real music, real artistry! What happened to the days when singers sing live and wrote their own songs? RIP music. I'll take my comfort in these precious performances, thanks Phil! God bless!
I guess when you are well-prepared, extremely talented, and experienced you can make incredible things seem easy. I am constantly astounded by this man's confidence and ease. His performances were so consistently awe-inspiring. Thank you, Mr. Collins, for all your gifts to us.
Pretty damn sure that Phil Collin's voice is the only one of music that hasn't changed or been damaged as he's gotten old. Still has that same tone that is awesome.
When a drummer who also sings puts you on as percussion you must go alright. And plays tambourine in a suit and actually adds to the performance. Yep Ray Cooper is bloody good.
It's strange how both Genesis vocalists have had exactly the same great vocal style, seamless high vocal range,no grittiness/strain in the vocal sound, just smooth!
This song holds a very special place in my heart. For me, this song - at least, my personal interpretation of it - tells the story of how I rediscovered my faith in God by attending a church camp that changed my life. That place has become my second home and eventually lead to me wanting to pursue a career in ministry myself. Just take me home.
I was 6 when i first time heard you mr. Collins. Now i'm 33, and you are still the best for me. Singing drummer. Please keep singing. Please keep drumming.
I played all the parts but I prefer a natural sound so it's like this enjoy ! take me home on drums : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hUwaz4LcVfYv.htmlb
I cant play the drums, can't sing either but Phil does it all so effortlessly and with such meaning, one of England's finest performers, look forward to seeing you back..
Just recently with the way things are going at home, every time I hear this, it brings tears to my eyes. I truly miss my son and family and this song just hits the right button. Would love it if he comes to see me and welcomes me back in his life especially to see my gorgeous granddaughter Amy. Love you Phil, just beautiful.
This is my #1 song of all time after long consideration of Phil Collins and Genesis music since 1977. His music has been an ongoing gift to the world for 40 years...
Awesome Bravo ...Love how he works the crowd ..One most Talented musician to grace our planet...He can play every instrument...Brilliant Song writer ...
A grossly under-credited musical genius. And now a scholar on the history of the Alamo. I hope that history gives this man his due during his lifetime. Up until the the time of his disability, he was probably the best drummer in the world after Carl Palmer. Phil stands in no man's shadow.
he thought he had grown irrelevant and that he had to retire. such humility for such a powerful performer. the best combination, ALWAYS!! his masterful music will never be irrelevant, and always timeless. great music always is. much love and appreciation to Mr. Phil Collins for your musical legacy.
Phil is the greatest of all and I’ve been here for him for 50 years when he performs it’s like he playing for me and no one else love my Phil well always be in my heart 💕
I can remember this like it's yesterday. Travelling home across the country on a bus listening to the tape on a walkman with a bunch of friends I'd made in the previous week on a summer camp. Such strong memories, and a very very good song.
Fan for 30+ years. One of my favourite songs...amongst many. Back up drummer creeps me out though so I have to concentrate just on Phil, which isn't a bad thing at all! (of course)
I have had the pleasure of seeing Phil and listening to his music and also when he was part of Genesis. There are so many years of great music. There really is no better talent than Phil. If I could pick one artist to go for a beer with, Phil would be it.
Phil, amigo en mi pais El Salvador te admiramos y aplaudimos tu magistral talento. Ray Cooper un bárbaro en la pandereta y percusiones, .. i would like to shake hands with both of you guys.
I have never seen him play the bongo drums, and have just been further enlightened to the legend that is Phil Collins. This is a fantastic performance.
This is good but have you seen his Farewell Tour - Drums and Take Me Home video? That is really good and then thats just my opinion. Check it out you might like it.
