Glad you brought this up :) Cam’s my favorite & Phil’s probly 2nd. Their humor is different. Phil is all puns and hokey stuff. Cam (and his shirts) are in a special league of their own - smarter humor on purpose. Love ‘em both!

@@accel9104 did you even watch the show?! lmao! its not weird its literally the point of their characters being written. there are multiple episodes in the series where the families see other groups of people that are perfect mirrors of their dynamics. there are countless scenes in every episode where some family member compares their past self or current relationships to the ones another family member has. hailey is written to be party girl claire before she got pregnant. alex is stressed out overachiever claire. luke is young carefree phil. dylan and andy are both modeled to be a 'man child' like phil. nearly every episode w hailey having a boyfriend theres some commentary about phil wants the boy to like him bc he didnt have jays approval, claire doesnt like the boy and its usually crossed w some footage of phil being immature or dumb, and hailey being annoyed her dad is like her partner. HELL, THERES AN EPISODE WHERE GLORIA AND HER SISTER (who is in love w jay) BOTH SAY THEY FIGHT BC THEY WERE JEALOUS OF EACH OTHERS RELATIONSHIPS WITH THEIR DADS! AND THEN CARRY OUT A PICTURE OF A HISPANIC JAY! there are multiple episodes of even manny liking the dunphy girls despite being their uncle. the weirdness is written like that on purpose as a joke in the comedy show.

Phil is the man who says something and takes the second right after he said it to process it🤣. I don't regret ever watching him in the show. I mean the show is delightful and just the best,Phil is just another kind of amazing🤗.
The real "American Dad" fr. A perfect depiction of what a "Modern Family dad in America", atleqdt in thought. With the perfect about of real comedy jokes, corny/embarrassing moments, and dad jokes😂. Makes him a gem 💎🔥Definitely one of my favorite of the fam.
