Met Kobe 1x as I was leaving UCLA one day before he was super duper famous and a champion. .. he was driving out the parking lot in a range rover while I was walking with my boys.. we said what up to Kobe and he actually pulled over in the parking lot for about 2 min. to talk with us. This is his 2nd year in the league and he had that small afro with lint in it...lol we talked about the Utah series where he air balled three shots... we said we will get them next year... and he said "damn right" he waved and pulled off.. Best damn 2 minutes of my life ever. .. R.I.P Kobe

Based on Phil’s story, I think If Kobe’s career wasn’t over and got to play in the bubble, he probably would’ve spent the time in the court practicing knowing that where he’s staying at is close to the facility and there are no flights after every game to add on his schedule.

Kobe wasn’t even going to be a top 10 player of all time. He came in the nba and was mediocre at best with average shooting guard athleticism. He wasn’t Lebron or mike level gifted. The man literally rose up and got better every year until he became the all time great player he is. He is unquestionably a top 10 player ever but people like you like to talk about his flaws instead of the player he was
