Phil is usually one of the quietest people at the table, but he is a master at telling a believable story with his chips. He’s fluent in betting the right amount at the right time to the right person in the right position.
Phil has always had the calculated hubris that's necessary for a good game. I like my playstyle but it's a bit too literal and defensive... and I've started to learn that from watching Phil these years.
Lol, Ivey... whole table is card dead (including himself), yet his play is slaying them. Can see the table is just having one of those "unconfident days." By "unconfident days" I mean it's just one of those days where you feel you can play endlessly, yet the missed hands just get to you thanks to the card dead atmosphere. Ivey got on a one of those rare streaks where your hands you don't want called, don't get called. Then the hands you win at show down were just at that monent where the fine line like a bike race, where it's neck-and-neck race, but your hand just happen to be slightly better. Not the nuts, but slightly better in a who hit the bullseye closer card game. Nor aimless, the play was there. Just... just.
@@johnnytwotimes7854 maybe not now in 2022 but mike was a world class player at some point when poker players were not that good around the 2000s . All u had to do was play tight and fold a monster and you were a great player .
Master of aggression is just a lie. I've seen Phil ivy play passive as s*** that guy only plays aces and kings folds every chance I've seen him get dominated he sucks he just has money so he can play a lot if I had that much money and I can play that much I'd win sometimes too
@@apoocumber4164 Put the crack pipe down kid. Hellmouth is a cash game fish against the best players in the world, he got eviscerated on High Stakes poker and in the Big Game. He may be the best "tournament player" when he's playing against amateur donkeys, but top pro's eat him alive. If he was the best he would play in every single super high stakes tournament, but he's scared so he doesn't.
