I wish there was certain towns that could make you live in certain eras. Like at the flick of a switch, boom your life is the 80s. Although I’m only 15 I feel like living in the 80s will be fun ! Especially my aunt. She misses the 80s more than anything ! 😂
I've been reading all the comments on how people are addicted to this song. I'm right there with you. I saw the movie "Electric Dreams" when it was released and was pleasantly surprised when the movie ended and this song began. What an emotional, uplifting song. Ever since then this has been one of my all time favorite. I think it's even better live.
Electric Dreams easilly could have been a horror movie, where the computer is unwilling to let go of the woman and must be destroyed. I'm SO GLAD they didn't do that, because there's enough movies where machines turn evil. It's nice to have a movie where a computer learns humanity.
I wish my mum was still here toooo listen to these awesome tunes from the mighty 80's, we will always be together in Electric Dreams Mum, 30th of December 2017 my mum died, Saturday evening around six pm, for the people who love this one, love you guys.
¡Saludos! (un contemporáneo)
I love this song. Electric dreams represents a lot better time than we're living in at the moment. All of the 80s were sheer magic. But this movie beats all. I actually watched it a few nights ago on RU-vid. I wish I could go back and relive what was the best decade ever. The awesome electric 80s
Still loving this tune, will be back listening toooo this one for many years tooooo come, what a quality classic tune, lovely bubbly jubbly, come on people let's have a dance.
I used to spin the 12" of this at Tequila Willies in the 80's What a blast right at 4:30 you could mix in almost any thing and none would leave the dance floor.
First time I hear this version. 💯🎉❤️❤️❤️🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 I not Gay but Phil is the man. Brilliance. When I say this version to me it's different. But I musically trained. You not notice?
I've been puzzling over the original story and the American interpretation of this very Deep Canadian idea.. I think.. perhaps its a lot like a hero origin story.. First its happened to many young people before.. he figured it out... what the red threads of fate were all about. Then, in the last scene, after the story is over.. the Old women (the ancient one) reappears and seems to form a special bond with him.. as if he were chosen for something very special and he started to run from his fate. If it were Wolverine.. from the comics.. I think it would be a very similar idea. Perhaps he's intended to participate or guide others on their journeys.. which lines up with a musicians fate.. quite well. (the real Tim Baker) formed this band after traveling the roadways of American and Canada.. so it almost feels natural, that somehow his journey could be translated into a story like this.
its based on the 'Red String of Fate' idea that the gods connected everyone and everything that would create history. The threads could be stretched and entangled but never break. And could only be seen by special people at special times when history was about to be made. - the video is for a Canadian Band that had just formed in 2012, the band leader is Tim Baker.. he's the one in the video, he also put the band together.. he's seeing the threads.. they're about to make history.. (in reality) at their concerts they often pass out a ball of red yarn to the audience to share the experience. It's kind of like he got a Gift.. and could suddenly see all the strings of fate, between everything and everyone.. and the story is how he handled it.... while they were making history. The old lady was one of the old gods.. who gave him the insight. When they were done.. she was gone.. her work was done. - its also a Coming of Age story for a New Generation, Tim found his connection to the world.. (the Original Song for the Video was a cautionary tale to Live carefully and thoughtfully and with respect.. for what you've learned.. coencidentally the Lyrics for Together in Electric Dreams speaks of something very similar.. For what you've been taught, Live carefully, we are connected near and far, no matter how far away.. and will always be together... an American twist on a Canadian idea..)
Can anyone tell me if the writing on the wall is from anywhere and what does it say completely? *(Found the original video this is from. Thanks anyway,)
