PhilaU: Carson Kressley's 2013 Commencement Address 

Carson is a wonderful man!

you definitely changed something inside me , you have the ability to change people and i want to thank you for changing mine !

The MIGHTY class of 2013! This was my graduation, and it was REALLY hot that day. We were supposed to have commencement at another location, but there was some sort of "construction" thing. We ended up doing the Wonderful Walk on campus, under a big tent, hoping the bank of monstrous black clouds would hold off just a bit longer. Carson's speech was mercifully brief given the conditions (who the heck knew a cap and gown worked so well as a sauna suit?) I did get a chance to meet him the week before, though I barely remember it; I was like everyone else, wrapping up my keystone project (animation). Living on Monster, coffee and pop-tarts, and little more than 4 hours sleep per night. I shook hands with him, thought he looked familiar, worried I owed him a term paper or something, and didn't realize who he was until a day later! I must of said something funny, because he laughed. Great school, good profs, and I hope Jefferson U understands they have something special. Go RAMS!

I have to admit, Carson is a very effective and persuasive speaker. He's very animated and keeps listeners engaged and entertained.

Yay! Glad this is on here. When I heard he was giving this speech I really wanted to hear it...ah, the power of RU-vid.
