Stephen Klaus, the wire walk between the twin towers was almost 40 years ago, Philippe Petit is just talking about the upcoming anniversary of it.

He pretty ,much single handedly changed the thoughts towards the WTC after his walk. What he did gave the towers an identity, The towers were empty and unpopular after construction and businesses stayed away. The Walk changed all that. NYC owes him a debt of gratitude for what he did.

Thank you very much for this information, I've often wondered about him and that I always think about lives before and after defining moments as I would imagine his life was after living through two...

I love what they did at ground zero though, with the reflecting pools being where the towers once stood. But i think they should have rebuilt the twins. Not on the same spot where they stood though, that will always be hallowed ground, but they should have risen again in total defiance.

After his walk the owner (I think) gave him a free pass to the observation deck for life
@Doctor699
@Doctor699 4 года назад
Director of WTC operations at the time, Guy Tozzoli. He wanted publicity and such because he had all that space to rent out. He helped drop the charges against Petit and what you said is right, he gave him a lifetime pass to the observatory on 2 WTC.

@1:40 Reporter: “As spectacular sites goes, how would you rate this?” Police: “Supreme, the apex of excitement.” Wow I actually just finished watching the movie and I must say. When they were up there in the WTC pulling the wire and his performances. You can tell Petit was determined to do this and the confidence at it’s all time high.

@minoxidilbeardandhairprodu4598
did they really threatened to cut the wire while he was still on it? or was that just for the walk movie?
@minoxidilbeardandhairprodu4598
Valan Kingsley thats crazy he was more likely to fall.....were they also threatening to cut the wire with him on it if he didnt get off?
