I don't know why but The Philippine Airlines look really Regal to me. Its design is simple yet elegant. Really Regal. Anybody can freely oppose but to me, it's the best looking paint job on a commercial Airplane. Minimalist and classy. I love looking at Philippine Airlines. Good job!
I flew on this bird, October 2017, Manila to London. It took 16.5 hrs. But on the positive side, had flown from London to Manila via Dubai on Emirates, got to say, Philippine Airways was much better....but it's a lloonnnnggg flight...going back there soon....cant wait, Filipinos are second to none, brilliant people, like us Irish folks lol 😉
It's hard to recommend PAL if you're a high ranking member of any airline alliance, though (e.g. Star Alliance Gold). Their only partners are Etihad and ANA, so tough luck if you want to make the most out of your trip.
They're not direct competitors actually as the A350 has more passenger capacity than the B787. A more fitting competition is the A350 vs the B777 or the B787 vs the A330neo

Their flight attendant are friendly smily and caring... At mga gwapo at magaganda...I'm satisfied their services... #MABUHAY PO KAYU. Kahit always delay ang time.
If they change the livery, I think many won't like especially those who prefer this livery but problem is some people also want a livery change in PAL. Honestly, I love PAL's iconic livery but they could have A350s which have a special livery plus not all A350s have been delivered yet
last august i was one of the lucky people to fly from manila to hong kong in a a350/1000 by cathay pacific airlines, a big congrats to the airbus team,it was a wonderfull flight,i fall in love with the a350!
