WE ENDED UP AT THE BEST SMELLING INN ABOVE A BAKERY IN THE PROVINCE TOWN OF PINTUYAN SOUTHERN LEYTE!
In this video, we roadtrip from Tacloban and head for Southern Leyte. Along the way, we check out Abuyog, get some food, and even find a little tuba factory... unfortunately the owner wasn't around! After scoring some ice cream and enjoying the drive, we find ourselves crossing the bridge to Panaon Island! Here there is a famous section of road... and it is beautiful!
Province life in Leyte is peaceful and beautiful. We experience a little bit of that spending the evening walking around looking for food in Pintuyan.
A Canadian, a Filipino, and a great Province vibe in the Philippines!

Dance party in Kulas and Bret's room at the inn! That's the coolest lighting throughout the place. This trip has shown some of the most interesting places to see going through Samar and Leyte. All so beautiful even without lots of touristy attractions. The towns and barangay just seem so fun to explore and have such a good vibe. Salamat for showing us all these places, Kulas! Here goes the Dynamic Duo on the Go and in Action. hehehe You are in Leyte, so there's a lot of options for purchasing Tuba there. Just make sure to look and free taste the real Bahal or Bahalina Tuba. Well, almost all grilled/inihaw in the Philippines tastes the same in a lot of ways. hehe But they usually are intended for meriendas, for short simple meals, or for pulutan in drinking sessions. Hi Sir Kulas, i think i was following you about a week ago on Sunday afternoon. From Tandag to Monte Vista where the grey Subaru turned off I guess returning to Cateel. I was behind in the aging white Isuzu D Max with after market daytime running lights. I was returning from Davao to Bislig City. It may not have been you, but i suspect there aren't that many grey Subaru's in the area. Safe travels both.

I saw Bret using his hand while eating and for the first time (I've watch a lot of foreigner's vlog eating with their hands) I saw a foreigner doing it almost right. I love the night market eating. I can almost smell the bbq from here! Bret with the ripped shirt and eating with his hands, he's totally getting the island carefree vibe. You don't sweat the small stuff. PH always had a way of grounding me. Seeing those shots of the mountains and distant Island just connects with something innate.
