After landing in the Philippines for the first time in our lives we headed to downtown BGC, the upmarket area of the city to check it out. Here are our first impressions of the place. #Philippines #Manila #bgc
Welcome to the Phil. enjoy our country and hospitality, your subscribers will go up coz filipinos are supportive to vloggers who showcase our country but most of all when tourist come visit. Enjoy, stay safe.
Make sure you try San Miguel's other products: Cerveza Negra and Red Horse Beer. You could also try San Miguel Super Dry. If you find yourselves in Angeles City, let's try and meet up.
The Brits are coming. So many British vloggers came, some decided to stay and live here in BGC and Makati. We welcome them like they welcome our Filipino nurses in the UK. Enjoy Manila
@@Oli-Barrett , Spain colonized Philippines for 333 years & 48 years by Americans. Karaoke was patented by a Filipino named Roberto del Rosario as Sing Along System (SAS) in mid 70's. Filipinos love to sing when they're happy, sad, hungry, angry or will find any reason to sing!
Love love ❤️ lol enjoy the Philippines 🇵🇭 hi watching from UK 🇬🇧 I agree uk is not that friendly but as a Filipina we still have smile even our circumstances are bad but hey I'm missing my birth place ❤️ thank you for sharing your experience and it's more fun in the Philippines don't you agree?
Welcome to Philippines. Yes we are influenced by USA. Even many of our English words are usually American . Like we don't use Lift for elevators or Flat for condos. And we use Imperial too for measurement instead of metric. And many more.
I am just so happy to be finally seeing you here in our country! I have been watching your China vlogs for a long time (I binge watched during the lockdown, and they kept me entertained and informed!). Enjoy the food, immerse in the culture, marvel on the beautiful islands and have fun with our wonderful people!
Actually, most tourists who arrived in the Philippines avoided visiting Manila. With the emergence of modern areas such as BGC, Makati, Eastwood, Aseana and other cities, it is becoming increasingly popular as a tourist destination. I am hoping the government will continue developing and maintaining cleanliness not only in Manila but all of the islands. The Philippines is a beautiful country and its people are some of the friendliest in the world.
Correction, most foreign tourist who are going to the Philippines are like to visit & stay first in Manila or Metro Manila because this is the capital & the most lively, vibrant & modern place of the Philippines, they really relax in mushrooming world class tall condos and entertain there and shop till they drop in many many Biggest Malls which some are included in Biggest Mall in the Planet ( Mall of Asoa, SM Magamall, SM North Edsa). And after days, weeks or months if they like the beautiful nature they going to provinces of Philippines to enjoy to the dozen's of amazing beaches & wonderful mountains of the Philippines.
@@nilzone7100 If you watch many vlogs, most of them are actually used to skip Manila and head straight to Cebu or island hopping. It's just recent where many vloggers start to stay in Manila. There is lots of construction and development going on in Manila and other parts of the Philippines right now, so expect that the number of tourists visiting will become even greater.
I miss my papa.. 😞😞 how I wish we were able to travel like what you two are doing. God bless you and hope you enjoy your stay here 🤗💖 p.s. hope to follow you in IG too.

San Miguel beer is a Spanish and Philippine beer, its a bit confusing and complicated, ive researched its history before and its messy. I believe BENCH has a similar story.

Lovely to see you guys are in the Philippines. Miss the people, the food, the place and everything. San Miguel beer is great, but try Red Horse too. Good luck and enjoy.
New subscriber here. Hope u come back much longer. Theres alot of English vloggers are now base in BGC and we love watching their content here in the philippines
Watching you guys exploring BGC is amazing, this is a wonderful vlog! It is indeed true that Filipinos are very hospitable and like singing in public. We have this tradition in every birthday celebration where we set-up a karaoke machine outside our homes and sing to the top of our lungs. It is also true that the Philippines, especially in BGC, have a lot of American influences from the architecture to the shops and stalls, which is also why I suggest you guys go to other places here in the Philippines that truly show the Philippine culture such as in Cebu, Vigan, and others. If you don't mind me asking, what do you like or don't like in our society?
Welcome to my country! Watching from Newyork and I love seeing my country being promoted by foreigners. Thank you so much! New follower here. Take care and always haggle when you buy or ride a public transport like taxis, trycicle and buying street food or clothes, they might take advantage of you.
downtown Manila is different. It's by Manila Bay. It's the old downtown though. It's not very nice. Makati is the main downtown of Metro Manila. It's also nice but has a completely different vibe. BGC is second in importance after Makati
Youre so welcome in the philippines, Mergin vlog & juicy vlog are living in BGC. You might both meet them. A lot of place to explore. Enjoy your stay in philippines!
I always see this kind of content which are always titled as "landing in Phil, not what we expect", its not original, again ive seen like 10s of vlogs such as this one and Im not saying its wrong or anything or condemning anyone BUT iam just curious, what did you guys all expect phil to be initially?. The more common titles are always 1. Shock, not what we expect 2. Didnt expect this jn Phil 3. Surprise, not we expect 4. SHOCK, this is manila/phil? Im like, what did yall expect in the first place? A bunch of trees and some random straw houses?. In Australia theres always this one tourist wholl say " i thought you ride kangaroos to school". Is this the same vibe? Again, im not saying that you are doing injustice to the country and culture and i find it with fondness that you spend time in learning and visiting other country and promoting it. Its just the title thats very curious. Alot of western vloggers who i always see in yt would always have this kind of title in their thumbnail or just the plain title of the vid and its a very curious thing.
To be honest, a lot of it has to do with the fact it’s the kind of statement that makes people curious to click. RU-vid is such a way that if you don’t get a good CTR (Click through rate) your video won’t do very well
Yes its true filipinos so very friendly and kind and got a big support like me im a new subcriber here enjoy to travel around here in manila before you go outside the manila father and son
21k views in 13 hours. I have feeling you’re definitely staying longer if not coming back. Esp if the 10 will be spent only in Metro Manila. There is so much to see and do in the PH. Btw Filipinos have always worked abroad in other Asian countries to sing in bars/clubs, among other things. Sure many might say BGC was built to attract tourists but the PH has always welcomed and adored other cultures since I grew up there in the 70’s and 80’s. The ppl are enamored and breathes what is new and different thus the welcoming attitude. You’ll see that in the restaurants and shops and how ppl live. Enjoy your stay, be safe and have fun!
Why dont you , both ? Contact... Comander Daot vlog ...if you can stay and survive the way he live with his friend a Canadian guy and a few local pilipino friends in the Philippines ( southern Philippines island )
Welcome to the Philippines!!! It's not too expensive to stay in BGC, if you know the ins and outs. Will be happy to guide you guys! 💙🇵🇭 Places to try so you can see the contrast of cultures: 1. Uptown, BGC 2. Malate, Manila 3. Poblacion, Makati 4. MOA, Pasay 5. Aseana City (Casino District) 6. Tagaytay City 7. Clark, Pampanga For quick beach trips, try: 8. Calatagan, Batangas 9. Puerto Galera, Mindoro
BGC is nice but it ain't the real Philippines. For that, you need to go out to the provinces. I hope you guys won't be the types of Western vloggers that gripe about the food, poverty, heat, traffic, etc. We Filipinos are aware of this and are working on it. It'd be nice if you can focus on our similarities, rather than our differences. Enjoy your stay in my country.
