If you look closer to korean, Japan and South Korea even common people have the same image the innocent, cute and they all wanted to look younger, because it's a cultural thing. Well that's because you're guessing, you can also take into account current trends, and even delve into psychological reasons. People like to put themselves in the same shoes as others and through that some people use it to base their guesses. Like how some of them came to a conclusion that older people generally are more natural. There's really no set of rules and it's just a guessing game, I don't see why we need to go after someone's thought process like we can change it.

I agree. It's because most celebrities are halfties or even mixed and have an assumption that they represent us all yet, we're not. It like they're just minorities. Pure native don't have the same spotlight like them. They're being overshadowed of how they looked and doesn't standout in the crowd. So definitely being mixed is what makes you standout 'cause you don't blend that much in the crowd.

I do have mixed ancestry, but I'm not mixed culturally (from other countries but my family comes from different parts of the Philippines) and my foreign ancestry is a small percentage. I agree. It's like dismissing what native Filipinos look like. It annoys me especially when I go to a Filipino store. They're amazed that I'm part Filipino and speak bisaya/Tagalog or how interesting that my Lola's family came via Mexico which leads to the pinoys at the store claiming Spanish ancestry too. I like talking to them but then when I ask their only proof is their last name. I don't understand if it's for validation because seriously being multicultural/racial is nothing special.
