THERE IS A NEW GIANT COASTAL ROAD IN SORSOGON CITY BICOL!
Our road trip across the Philippines continues... We drink a little bit of Tuba, and then find ourselves waking up to ride a boat from Northern Samar to Sorsogon Bicol. Stopping along the way for some food... we find ourselves driving the new coastal road in Sorsogon City! Which is awesome! This giant road goes right out across the ocean, and gives you stunning views and vibes! A Philippines road trip wouldn't be complete without eating... and we do a lot of that on this day!
I even end up with a spicy Halo-Halo? Yup, they serve various spicy foods and treats all over this Province, I settled for a halo-halo. It was great!
The Philippines road trip continues with Kumander Daot... across Bicol!!

The length of Sorsogon Coastal Road is 5.5 kilometers from both ends. Also those group of mountains (10:38) are called Pocdol mountains consisting of several mountains including Mount Pulog, Cabanbanan and other smaller mountains which are believed to have formed as a result of an eruption of an enormous stratovolcano many years ago unknown to mankind. It can also be the reason why there is an active geothermal power plant in the area (BacMan Geothermal Power Plant). It's the province's foundation anniversary bro which means more fun! *nice to see you traveling with Therine, and commander daot, when we went to bicol to watch the perfect cone, we spent the night at mayon hotel , and wake up early in the morning tk watch tne cloud cover the whole volcano, while ths cloud going up and every cloud dessappeared, and you could see the perfecg cone, I travel around Phil, for a month by boat, Phil Navy boat rented by different co. My co. Is one and im the representative of our company , its a beautiful memories. Those were the days. Take care guys.

On my 1st attempt to visit Mt. Mayon, haze was also the problem. On our 2nd attempt, on the way back home from our Philippine loop at the end of May this year, we booked a hotel just to make sure we have enough time for a clear view which happens several times a day as low clouds keep rolling by. 6-7 AM is the clearest the sky can get. We also took a 360° drive around Mt. Mayon. We started in Cagsawa Ruins @9 AM for breakfast and a quick picture. Next, we visited Mayon Skyline View deck and proceeded to Tabaco City, then Sto. Domingo. We arrived back to Cagsawa Ruins @1PM for lunch and shopping for Pancit Bato.

You must have been in Bicol just after Taal volcano in Cavite released massive amounts of sulphur dioxide making it hazy over large swathes of southern Luzon. I believe they call it volcanic smog or vog. I think it happened last year as well.

My first time to travel from mnl to sorsogon was 1994 when i'm heading to davao by car. it talk 17 hrs for me to reach matnog port because of rough road condition in those times with only two lanes highway. i felt like it's an unending road.😊

A lot of stores selling native products are just along the roadside of sorsogron. the pili products of the province is one of the best . mt bulusan and hot springs are around. mt mayon is visible in albay and sorsogon.
