Can you please try to react the songs manila and high school life.. These songs are really unique.. High school life song is very touching because us filipinos really feel both happy and emotional
Actually the English version is a very militarized version which you can hear from the marching band type of instrumentals which is a bit different from the original Spanish and tagalog. Meanwhile the modern tagalog version is the direct translation of the original Spanish version.
I like the Tagalog version myself :) Its funny I am a New Zealander living in Australia but when ever I am in the Philippines (twice a year) the Philippine anthem has more of an affect emotionally on me than the NZ or Aust ones esp. when I watch kids at school sing :) It is also great that if you ask kids on the street most the time they will be able to sing the whole thing and with convection while they stand with their hand on their hearts no matter if they are poor street kids or rich kids :) mahal ko ang Pilipinas ! :):):)
Fun fact: The reason why Filipinos are good at singing it's because the national anthem is higher than your grades XD Edit: owemji thank you for the likes. Keep safe everyone. Love lots 💞
Hindi na ngaun ang mga pinoy na sinasabi mo na patriotic punta ka sa mga sinehan tingnan mo kung inaawit ang lupang hinirang at yon sa mga paaralan maski sa mga opisina NG gobyerno wala na pakialam

Very true, During the flag ceremony at school all vehicle may it be car, truck, bike, people etc. on the road need to stop to show respect and people wearing hat need to take it off and put it on back only when the national anthem is finished.
Yes you're right Vanessa, as a sign of respect to the national anthem and also to the country, whenever we hear the Lupang Hinirang, wherever we are, we should stop, stand straight and we put our right hand on top of our heart or upper left chest.
Wow so nice!!! Thanks for letting me know! As soon as we are in the Philippines again and we hear the national anthem we will do the Same. Can we do it as a foreigner as well or is that considered rude? 💕
For me it's fine, and if I ever see u doing it, it will give me a great feeling and I will salute you for the respect you'll give to our national anthem.
I live in Valenzuela City and whenever there's a national anthem that can be heard across the road, all vehicles will stop. It's anxiety inducing especially if you are late in school but it's a sign that we really do are a patriot.
omg my granny have a teary eyes when she heard the Spanish version haha she said when she was in grade school thats the National Anthem being played haha
When there's war in the Philippines, They raise the Philippine Flag upside down while singing the national anthem. Love you guys! I'm rooting for you always #MABUFREAKINGHAY💛💙❤️
The national anthem is sang in cinemas only before the last full show. So only those who watch the last full show late at night will experience that in the movie house. God bless you both.
@@paultrinidad5083 I remembered here in the mall of GenSan, they are playing it on the first schedule and for the last full show of the cinema. When singing the national anthem, you have to face where the flag is.
it's a March. The song is basically an ode the beauty of the country, how outsiders try to claim the beautiful country as their own, and how each Filipino is willing to die to defend it.
As respect to our anthem, we always sing this everyday, before class, since 1st grade to senior highschool. My mom and grandma told me that back then, everyone would stop as soon as they hear our anthem, even if they're sweating, they won't bother wiping it out because they have a big respect for our anthem, but nowadays, ugh!! Many don't care, so sad.
Yep I am from the philippines but our language is different cuz im from mindanao in zamboanga city and we speak Chavacano (half spanish and half mexicano and if course tagalog)
we sing it every morning during school Flag Ceremony..like this order 1st Morning Prayers 2nd Lupang Hiniraang 3rd Panatang Makabayan. 4th Ako ay Pilipino Lastly.. Morning Excercise😉
In Baguio City we sing a lot Morning prayer Lupang Hinirang Panatang makabayan Baguio City National High School Hymn Baguio Hymn/Baguio Lungsod Baguio March Cordillera Hymn Morning Exercise 😊
3:56 yeah, we need to stop, stand up, and put our right hand to the left part of our chest what ever we're doing, that's how we respect the Philippines and our National Anthem:) -🇵🇭
I've done this I was late for flag ceremony and I was about to go to the line where my classmates are and then suddenly they started singing so I immediately stop walking and put my right hand to my left chest
relate 😂😭 I was on a catholic school before, na late ako nag holy rosary ako tapos kakanta ng lupang hinirang tapos panatang makabayan mag isa sa field 😀🔫🔫 kaya di na ako nalate umpisa nun
MAGANDANG GABI... Before anything else I must place my right hand in my heart as how we do in singing our anthem... Finally my requested reaction comes into real tho its not form mine still so excited...❤❤❤😆😆 stay safe as always.. health is wealth...
"No te hollarán jamás" and NOT "No te hallarán jamás." It's a typo. The correct one, the first one, says, "You will never allow the invaders to step on you." ["di ka pasisiil" in old Tagalog] while the incorrect one "hallarán" has the meaning of "You will never allow the invaders to find you" which is still okay. 😄 "Hallar" is an old Spanish verb that means "to find" while "Hollar" is also an old Spanish verb that means "to step on." 🙂
I remember when i was in Elementary everytime i am late, if they started singing the Lupang Hinirang you should stop walking and just stand and sing as sign of respect
Hearing our National Anthem always gives me goosebumps and excitement. Idk but everytime I hear this, it makes me remind of our National Heroes, those who gave and sacrificed their lives to protect my country Philippines from enemies, and defended our freedom. And yes! When we hear this, we should stop on what we're doing to give a sign of respect~ Btw, I really love you both!! I'm blissful that you love Philippines and our Filipino cultures. Hoping you go back here soon~💞
I remember back in high school, our music teacher made us sing the Spanish version, it's so difficult! Hahaha! 😯😂 I honestly think Filipino schools should bring back Spanish classes. I still don't understand why it was removed from the curriculum (back in the 1970's I think?). I see the importance of it just like English, as long as it won't destroy the Filipino languages. It would be cool for us Filipinos to be trilingual (fluent in Tagalog, English and Spanish), and for the provincianos they'll speak 4 (their provincial language, Tagalog, English and Spanish). I mean look, "Noli Me Tángere", "El Filibusterismo" and "Mi último adiós" were all written in Spanish by José Rizal, but we Filipinos learned all of these in Tagalog.
Mr Panic Attack it was removed in time of Pres Cory Aquino on the 90’s i was on my 2nd year at MSU-IIT and had my Spanish 1 & 2 on my 1st&2nd semester after that there’s no Spanish subject anymore 😔
It was removed to remove the colonial mentality of Filipinos. Also some historians really hate the Spaniards, all the abuse and eradication of tribes and cultures. Plus women were treated better and have ranks before the Spaniards came. Also it was becoming irrelevant since Spain is not a powerhouse as it used to. It is now mandatory to learn Super Basic Mandarin in our College (FEU). China is the future lmao.
Philippine National Anthem basically means we are marching for freedom, We will put our life and die for the freedom of our country. Thats why we had so much respect for our Flag and National Anthem, it is a very noble song for us.... Thanks for loving our National Anthem Mabuhay!
I remember my school days because i was once a supreme student government or a officer of the whole school and we have a disciplinary action for those students who are late comers and to those who don't join the flag ceremony is going to pic up plastic trash inside the school campus ... it is really a respect and tradition that if we here the drum roll of our anthem we stop , stand straight and put our right arm at our chest and sing the Lupang Hinirang our National Anthem .... Hope you notice me .... hope you'll give me a shout out to your new videos... stay safe and healthy guys.... you too look good may you have a strong relationship... love you guys... from PHILIPPINES ... A proud half FILIPINO and SWEDISH .... again love you guys... MABUFREAKINHAY🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
I've been waiting for the both of you to react to the different versions of Philippine National Anthem; Good bless to the both of you and mabuFREAKINGhay!from the Philippines🙌❤ Btw I know how to sing those three versions; Plus 13 other national anthems;Share ko lang😆
National Anthem is played before the start of the movie. For your info Vanessa and Fernando. Thank you for loving our country and our people. God bless you both.
Not only National Anthem we do before the class in school during the flag ceremony, after singing our National Anthem we have to recite our Philippines National Pledge or Ang Panatang Makabayan....
Hi Happy Reactions: This is my literal translation from Tagalog to English. hehe Bayang magiliw = Land of love Perlas ng Silanganan = Pearl of the Orient Alab ng puso = Ardor/blaze/fervor/rage of hearts Sa dibdib mo'y buhay = In your hearts alive Lupang Hinirang = Chosen Land Duyan ka ng magiting = You cradle bravely Sa manlulupig = from invaders Di ka pasisiil = never be oppressed Sa dagat at bundok = To the seas and mountains sa simoy at sa langit mong bughaw = to the breeze and to thy heaven's royalty May dilag ang tula = there's splendor/brilliance in poem at awit sa paglayang minamahal = and songs of beloved freedom Ang kislap ng watawat mo'y tagumpay na nagniningning = the glitter/spark of your banner/flag is victorious/triumphs that twinkling/shining ang bituin at araw = the stars and the sun na kailanpama'y di magdidilim = that never be dimmed/darkened. Lupa ng araw = Land of Sun/Fire ng luwalhati't pagsinta = of glory and passion Buhay ay langit sa piling mo = Skies are alive in your presence Aming ligaya na pag may mang-aapi = our joy when there's someone come to oppress ang mamatay nang dahil sayo = is to die because of you. - Sorry for my translations hehehe ^^ xD
I just remember my elementary days when there is someone who's late of going to school, they will be punished by going to the Flag Pole and made a Flag Raising Ceremony. hahahaha! even though you are just the only one who's late, you need to do the Flag Raising Ceremony all by yourself. that's how strict our teachers are when it's about our Nationality. Hahaha
This is I think the only foreigner owned channel that focuses more of the Philippines, Philippines and Philippines..truly your channel will be loved by Filipinos as we do know how to make use of the word utang na LOob. God bless and more blessings to come your way.
Tommorow is my birthday, I have request(If you not yet react to this one). Pls react to "4th power uk X-Factor" (they sang the bangbang) plssss I want to see your reaction. They are my favorite singers. But you are my favorite Vlogger♥️(both of u)
When We Filipino sing our national anthem, we stand up put our right hand in our heart while we are singing it. As i can remember, during elementary days, we student remove the flag in the flag pole every afternoon and make sure the flag will never touch the floor.
I miss going to school. I remembered everytime when the school year started in our 1st grading its required to practice the anthem even tho we already knew it (coz every school day we have flag ceremony in our school) and then we will gonna sing it by groups in our subject for grade. Sometimes in flag ceremony when a teacher saw you not singing you will be punished (you will gonna sing it alone) Excited to go to school when this pandemic ends.
As far as I know and understand in every line of our national anthem, it tells the story of the Philippines itself, the beautiful scenery, the love and passion for the motherland, the occupation from several colonizer and the the unyielding bravery and patriotism of everyone that whoever will try to conquer our land we will defend it with our lives and will together arise to proclaim victory.
Honestly it’s totally different from English version, the rhyming in English version is good but lack of patriotic substance unlike in Filipino version the patriotic feeling is strong. To be honest there are a lot of Filipino words specially the old Tagalog is really hard to translate, so I can understand that there’s something missing in English version. As for Spanish I’m not gonna react since I have no idea I know some words but putting them in songs or paragraphs will be hard for me to understand. Overall I love your reactions guys, keep up the good work. Ciao!
Well the Original National Anthem is the Spanish version penned by Jose Palma taken from his poem entitled "Filipinas" in 1899. This was known at that time as the "Marcha Nacional Filipina". Then it was translated to English during the Commonwealth period in the 1930s. Finally, the Official Tagalog translation which we still sing today was approved in May 26, 1958. So Filipinos have a lot of misconception of the Philippine National Anthem. They thought that the Tagalog version came first, then Spanish and English when the truth is that the original version was the Spanish, then the English version and lastly the Tagalog version. On February 12, 1998, a law was passed that mandates that only the Tagalog version should be sung in our Philippine National Anthem thereby effectively, banning the singing of the Spanish and the English versions of our National Anthem in public.
@Khale Lupac - The English version came first before the Tagalog version. So therefore the English should have been based from the original Spanish version, not from the Tagalog.
@@Weekendinspirations I never said that Tagalog comes 1st or Spanish all I'm saying is the Patriotic sense is not there. I don't care either if the English is thousand year old than Tagalog. Your comments is irrelevant on what I posted.
You should react or listen to the BAGONG LIPUNAN MARCH. it was sung during the Martial Law regime. I love the fact they're silent while the versions are playing. That's respect ;) Vanessa's right, there was a JAPANESE VERSION of lupang hinirang

Fun Fact: The first lyrics to Lupang Hinirang weren't in Tagalog, nor Spanish. It was actually written in Kapampangan. Labuad Mapalad: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QdSVxTNjGYI.html
sheryl loves to bake its kinda weird how they think that Korea was the only country victimised by the Japanese occupation , when the Philippines also suffered the exact the same thing as them when the Philippines was under Japanese rule... it is the tiktoker’s mistake and she apologised already, but the problem is that certain Koreans Generalised the whole Filipino population labelling us a poor, uneducated, ugly and short people. Which is why cancelkorea started, tbh, it shouldve been #CancelRacism instead

Thank you very much to the both of you for your continiously loving our country's culture. More power to your channel guys! You gave me a lot of joy everytime I'm watching your videos. Thank you! and God Bless.
Thank you so much for reacting to this. I am a 54 yr old Filipino living in California but don't have any idea that a Spanish version of the Philippine national anthem exists.
Philippine National Anthem always plays before the program begins...in cinema, tv and radio programs it plays when they sign in and before signing off...we love and respect our national antheme...it shows how we filipinos are...thank you for featuring it in your channel
For me the tagalog version is the best interpretation of our National Anthem. Our country. Our promise land. The birthplace of noble heroes. It's our happiness to live and to die to our motherland.
