Philippines Independence Day, or Araw ng Kalayaan, (or "Day of Freedom") on June 12th, 1898, was the first time President Emilio Aguinaldo waved the Philippines flag of freedom. The blue represents truth and justice, the red represents valour and patriotism, and the white represents liberty and equality. And when the flag is flipped upside down, it means a state of war for the country.
