In the Phiilippines, it's very common that you are late in everything like party, etc...Filipino time..30 minutes, 1hr late, etc. Expect the Filipino time being late.
It's a toxic trait really. I get the Filipino time if it's a joke but taking it seriously like it's a real thing, like saying that we were born with it or that it's culture, is pretty annoying.

Most of stablisments in the Philippines has the rule in not accepting tips unless a stablisment has the authority to accept tips and it will divide it in a group but most of the time incentive is present.
@@Edgar_Ramirez471 I'm not dragging my own country here. I'm just sharing some knowledgeable info if an Indian will visit Philippines. I witness some Indian whom asking why some stablisments refuse to accept tips, atleast they will know something educational and besides this vlog introduces some comparisons and differentiations about the participants in different countries. If the representative of the Philippines is not part in this vlog why would I comment such things that isn't in their topic, and the main purpose in this vlog is to give some ideas on what we can have to educate ourselves if we will go to other countries. As you watched the video they gave some thinking about such behaviour, shared their thoughts and explain some further details about the topics. Yeah, the person is giving facts idea in India but mine is in the Philippines.
@@Edgar_Ramirez471 if you really bothers about my comment feel free to ask to delete mine. I don't think that giving my own thought will lead to you thinking I'am dragging my country.
The tipping culture is toxic TBH, why can’t employers pay their employees right, in Japan it’s the other way around they don’t want tip. Why does it have to be mandatory.
As a Bangladeshi🇧🇩 I'm totally agree with the public toilet thing and standing & showing respect to the teacher. Once me & my friend didn't stand up or offered Assalamualikum deliberately after the teacher entered and unluckily the teacher noticed & punished us by standing the whole class (30 minutes)😂 If you ever visit BD don't dare to go to a public toilet.
If you've seen the short about evolution of slang English. It ends where America slanged "i got to go" into "gago" which is a swear in Filipino language. So i hope American language doesn't do that 😅
most FIlipinos are punctual at work. but at some point there is a late comers in a group. Iike how the FILIPINA mentioned the liquor ban every elections. that is one of FIlIPINO culture that I like the most.
In US I think in parochial schools, you stand up when the teacher enters the room. You even stand up when other teachers or staff enter the room, and you say "good morning mr. / misses / sister soandso
I believe tipping culture is only for formal restaurants? I don’t remember I ever tipped at a McDonald’s, Popeye’s Chicken, or any food court. I only pay tips at a steak or pasta restaurant.
I can't live without eating Biryani at least 3 times a week. My favorite Biryani place in Chicago is Ghareeb Nawaz. They also have an Indian street that specializes in both North and South Indian cuisiines.
South African mom's love indian television it's not a surprise if their children become obsessed with it. actually I think most of Africa likes Bollywood 😂😂
In the Philippines, nowadays, there are kids at the roadside and like when cars especially buses and trucks pass by, they like make a sign or shout “papap dol (honk, idol) kind of like that and the drivers would honk in a way that it would sound like music and the kids will dance.
19:57 Also...when the Philippine flag is horizontally displayed... in the state of war, red is on the left.... We just had our graduation ceremony last March....and our teachers were hanging all our flags horizontally... I noticed that the Philippine flag's red side is on the left... I immidiately told my teachers about it 😅... they were in shock and panic based from their faces haha... they had to hoist down the whole pole where all the flags are hanged and quickly corrected the orientation 😂😅
In the New Territories of Hong Kong 🇭🇰 SAR, there would be times and places where you’d walk face to face with one of the three animals : wild macaque monkeys 🐒🐒🐒🐒, wild boars 🐗 🐗🐗🐗, and cows 🐂🐂🐂🐂🐂
11:11 this doesn't just happen in India, it also happens in many other rural parts of other nations like China, Japan etc where people don't often see foreigners, it's a common response from them... also there are many Indian people who won't even care if a foreigner passes by, like minding their own business especially in big cities or tourist spots
Indians in general knows more about foreign countries so there is less chances they misunderstood or streotype about any country representative present in the video!
My thoughts on each: America: 1. This one is really just a common sense safety thing, people should heed that wherever they live because there are sketchy people everywhere. 2. I hate American tipping culture, I think it should be more like how the South African lady described, something you can do as an optional gratuity but not mandatory or automatically expected of you. 3. This one makes a lot of sense to me, it's just a simple matter of consent and not everyone likes to be touched. India: 1. I guess if everyone's on board with it a lack of punctuality is fine. 2. I would typically be disturbed by people staring at me but if I was traveling to another country where most of the people look very different from me I'd probably expect it in that scenario. 3. That seems very miserable, I'm glad I don't live in a major city with too much traffic. Malaysia: 1. I'm not religious but I agree with this one too. For me it goes back to the personal space thing the American was talking about earlier. It would make me uncomfortable if people touch or get their hands near my head in any way. 2. I've never personally had or been near a durian but I've heard they smell really bad so I can understand this one. 3. I guess that makes sense if you have to go somewhere other than your seat to order. In American restaurants, we just stay at our seats the whole time and waitstaff come to us to take our orders. Philippines: 1. I think expecting or not expecting people to bring snacks to a social event are both fine as long as everyone is aware of the expectation ahead of time. 2. Yeah like the other American I'm also used to needing to give handshakes to new people I meet especially in professional settings. 3. Yeah it's not specifically during election time, but just all the time, like the American said a lot of local ordinances here ban you from having alcohol out in public or being drunk in public in general. 4. It isn't illegal but you can stir controversy by displaying an upside down US flag. But you're protected from any legal consequences, you can even burn a flag without legal consequences because of the first amendment. South Africa: 1. Makes sense not all countries are developed enough to have power all of the time. This is one of those things that's easy for those of us in more developed countries to take for granted. 2. Yeah if driving with windows down in that area is causing safety issues, it makes sense to not do so to protect yourself. And yeah like the American said here we are given similar advice to not leave valuables in your car and keep everything closed and locked up when you leave to decrease the likelihood of theft. 3. In general it's just rude to make fun of anyone's language, imo. Bangladesh: 1. Yeah in America it's like how the South African lady was describing, most publicly accessible buildings will have bathrooms built inside them. Typically there are staff in those buildings who will clean the bathrooms either at the beginning or end of each day but a lot of the time bathrooms can still get quite disgusting during the day. Especially in schools. 2. I personally would be worried about safety if I lived somewhere with a lot of stray animals especially stray dogs, because of the possibility they could be aggressive or have rabies. Where I live there aren't a lot of strays but people do frequently let their cats free roam outdoors (which I also don't agree with, but my concern in that case is more so about the cat's safety than my own). 3. Yeah at least when I grew up, going to school was similar to what the South African person described, needing to raise your hand to ask questions and asking permission to use the bathroom and such. But nowadays, it seems like it's a major struggle for teachers to even maintain basic discipline standards in many American schools.
Also in some other place in the Philippines honking is a way of saying thank you because they give you a way to go ahead of them so you do the honking cause you can't stop and say thank you.
In India there is no so thing as tiping culture it's up to you if you wanna give a lil extra because you are pleased with the service provided to you... I paid double the amount to my barber atleast ten times in two to three years coz I was extremely satisfied with his work and not that I was bound to do it..
While not quite the statement of war as fliped flag of Philippines, upside down US flag is dire distress in instance of extreme danger to life or property.
In the Philippines, we have lots of crocodiles. They live a luxurious life. They dont open the exonomy, they want all filipinos poor so that they could dominate endlessly.
In Australia you should never use "champ/buddy/pal/friend" the way Canadians constantly do. If you want to use these words we will assume you want to get in a fight. Just don't refer to people with overly friendly language if they are not your friend. Our language does not work like that. Politeness signifies social distance and will be taken as an insult.
8:50 I think not all Americans are like that it depends on the situation, places, and people. correct me if I'm wrong. I believe not all Americans are like that. obviously, in the subway or public places, you can't apply that personal space.
i dont know where she is from ..but y she is pointing out the things which r fixed in many cities in india..and some things which r getting fixed... is she annoyed at india or what?? ... yess, safest cities exist, traffic less cities exist, places where people dont give a fuck about foreigners exist,
I absolutely agree with you, seemed like she hasn't been to those cities for a long time... but anyway, her reasons were kinda stereotypical and in a badder side compared to others, i mean at least she should've said that "of course there are places where *this and that* don't happen, it doesn't happen everywhere" but she didn't even clarify like this... it will not help and create more stereotypes and bad image of our country in a world where we already face such things so much
The last time the Philippines flipped the flag was WW2. I just hope it will never happen again, especially now that China has been aggressively claiming the south china sea. We all know that Filipinos are very patient people, but we also know that Filipinos won't back down (like most Asians countries) even to any stronger countries.
this is kinda funny lol. I just noticed the title and it has philippines on it. Yall filipino's are being baited for views lmao. Better not watch it XD😊
From all the videos of random people and well known people that I watch and know, I always hear that they have a Filipino bestfriend like wtf where are these pinoy besfriend are coming from are they for hire or something, a special classes for supporting roles of filipinos around the world xD
supporting role?? why are trying to make it sound as a weakness? For hire? DO YOU HIRE someone to be your friend, Duku? if you do, your attitude must really suck 😅 FYI, there are many Filipinos around the world and we are naturally friendly people. thats how we are wired. AND ITS NOT A BAD THING OKAY?
