People are very formal and disciplined unlike nowdays the teenagers are focused on technology things such as gadgets which we cant stop it, and now the teens are wearing unappropriate clothes i did meant to say to wear a "saya or a amerikana" but to fixed the clothings of teens nowdays
I’m not here to say weather the past was a “golden age” or to say anything political, but I’m just here to say I’m proud of our history even though it’s easily forgotten or distorted by people.
The kids were not playing with bamboos. Those giant bamboos were used to fetch water from a well then take a painstakingly long hike downhill with a water filled bamboo on your shoulder. Reminiscing my childhood. Thanks for posting.
The Ukulele in the Philippines introduced in municipality of Guagua, province of Pampanga in 1908. Soprano Ukulele (1908) Concert Ukulele (1927) Tenor Ukulele (1948) Baritone Ukulele (1973)
I was born in 1951, Sampaloc, Manila.
Hi po. May konting correction po. Student canteen started in 1958 kaya nailagay po namin ay 1950s, but the actual picture with Michael Jackson was in 1975 😊
Thank you po. Yes po. 1958 kasi nagsimula ang student canteen kaya nalagay namin sa caption ay 1950s but the exact date of the photo is 1975. 😊 Thanks for watching ❤️🇵🇭 Godbless you too 🙏
if not for World War 2, Philippines could have been different, Manila could have retained those iconic landmarks, not so much money could have been use to rebuild the economy.
Nice thanks, but some slides are typographic error specially the Love Bus, it is sometimes Marcos era 1970-80s, Students Canteen with Michael Jackson it is sometimes 1975..
That Student Canteen @6:08 time photo is not in 1950's , it was in the 1970's between 1975-1976, I was in grade 5 when Connie Reyes started her hosting stint in that show and it was the 2nd time Michael Jackson guested in the show.
"I used to roll the dice, feel the scare in my enemy's eyes, But now i sleep alone, Sweep the streets I used to own" Never an honest word, but that was when I ruled the world.
Filipinos heroes died in war in hands of Spain and Americans and fight for their country. And some of them get executed by their own teammates like Antonio Luna
Legit rare photos indeed. I don't really know where you found them but these are treasures to behold. I Love the 1880 ateneo university and the savage "jeepney in fiesta."
Photos, photos, photos, are we proud of our culture? Attitude?? Let us be proud of our HERITAGE??!! LET US KEEP THEM? Continue, maintain our wonderful culture, this made us strong, prosperous,, caring, loving nation,, we do not cheat, lies, we hate liars, we love our Politicians, who were wrongly accused of PLUNDERERS, who have have made us recognised as a first world COUNTRY. We are not force to find employment overseas. We have our own identity? Our own philosophy! We do not need to reform our fundamental culture and attitude. Culturally we are fantastic. We are not known for being BALATKAYO? ANG MAMATAY NG DAHIL SA BAYAN. SA MANLULUPIG DI KA PASISIHIL. INIIBIG KO ANG AKING BAYAN.
FYI, the Love Buses did not exist in the 1960s. They started in the 70s. The Student Canteen photo shown was from the mid-70s. Michael Jackson was hardly an adult in the 1950s!
Thanks for the notifications. We made mistake on the photo of student canteen. But student canteen indeed started in 1950s but the photo is definitely not 😊
@@ArtandLes As you can read from my comment, I wasn't questioning the date Student Canteen came on air. I was questioning the use of MJ's photo from the show in the 70s.
Yes. Sorry for the confusion. Student canteen started in the 1950s that's why we labeled it as 1950s but the photo we attached in this video is in indeed in the 1970s. Thanks 😊

It's now overpopulated. It's like 24 people living in a 3-bedroom house. Consumption of electricity, water, food will increased 400% beyond the normal capacity
I remember being on a long drive with my father to Rochester, NY and it was the weekend. There were garage sales here and there so we went to a couple to just look around. In one table, we saw old postcards of the Philippines before WW2. I regret not buying them. They were probably souvenirs of an American soldier who recently passed away and they were just selling off his stuff. Anyhow, I was amazed that old and rare pictures of the Philippines were being sold in the middle of nowhere in western New York.
@@ArtandLes When they say it's just a conspiracy theory they don't want you to look into it any further. There's evidence in every city around the world, I have seen so many buildings, homes and schools in my local town where windows are half buried under ground and homes that have stairs with entrances to the 1st/2nd floor which doesn't make sense. People can find these on street view if they train their eyes for it. The old tartarian buildings were kept as schools, banks, post office, city hall, council chambers and you fill find some of them with the freemason compass and square emblem but most striking is these buildings all look the same in every country.
I think those children are not playing bamboos. They are really pitching water of which the bamboo are containers in those days. Stand to be corrected.
Wala na po as of now. Yan lang po na compile ko from different sources na maganda 😊 Maybe we will try compile a part 2 if maka gather uli. Thank you for watching po ❤️
Yes. In the early 1880s naging portable na ang camera obscura (yung pinka unang camera systems).
