I've had trouble with astma for so long. And after living abroad for a year and coming back to the house I've been able to identify that my problems are caused by dust. Tomorrow I'll install a filter and I hope it will make the irritations in my airways less. I am very hopeful that I can get more energy again. I'm kinda disappointed that I hear nobody about these things while everyone seems to complain about pollen....
We've taken a look at the Philips Air Purifier Series 800 (AC0820/30). It removes 99.5% particles as small as 3 nanometer & supports the room size of up to 49 m2 (527 ft2). The device has a professional-grade sensor & uses a color based LED feedback, to show you the indoor air quality. Auto, Turbo & Sleep are the modes available when it's on (leaving it on the auto-purification mode is simple). You will have the option to enable the Turbo mode (at a touch of a button), which might be useful first thing in the morning, or after cooking a meal. Whereas a night-mode allow the device to be almost silent (it still works - but at a significantly reduced noise level / speed), useful if you're playing a movie in the living room; or use the device in the bedroom (& do not want to be waken in the night). The user swappable filter, has a recommended lifetime of 12-months (longer than some cheaper models) - thus reducing the total cost of the ownership potentially. Our tip? Set a reminder in 11.5 month to get another filter. Have a bigger room? Look at the Philips AC3033/30 supports upto 104 M2 space.
IMPORTANT As soon as you unpack the filter and install it in the base of the unit, WASH YOUR HANDS THOROUGHLY AFTER HANDLING IT. They do not say that for nothing.
Thanks for this. I ordered one. Just hoping it works on fried/roasted smells, mould and tobacco. It’s got its work cut out. I’m wondering though if I should have ordered the 1000 or above. Perhaps I could move it around. Lovely Ruthie perhaps just needs a bath if she’s setting it off (just joking Ruthie😂).
Thank you for the review. Is it possible to give us an update after 2 months if it has made a difference to things such as respiratory health, would you say you've noticed your breathing has improved etc or how it's transformed your day to day life. Many thanks
It depends on the person. If you're more sensitive to the air quality and this is the right for your use (e.g. room size, etc) - you might notice it. Colleague has mentioned that a family member who is affected by asthma finds it to make a difference, whereas they personally just enjoy that it keeps the smell more neutral. ☺ A classic your mileage may vary topic.
@@GreenGreenStore Thank you for a speedy reply. I have ordered one from the Philips website with 15% off as a new customer at sign up. Looking forward to using it.
Hi, i got new one, kept it on "sleep" mode all day but Red sign didn't change. Does it means air is still not clean or that was some Malfunctioning? Room size 250 Sq feet, plz note philips claims to clean such size of room in 15 minutes
Hi, thank you for your informative video. I want to know does the filters differ in different AC models? I mean can we use the same filter in different models in same series , for example we use AC1215 filter in AC1715 ?
HEPA filters aren’t really re-usable but honestly your best bet is to dry clean it with a vacuum I think 🤔 Although not sure you can just buy new ones tho
Spray a cologne next to it, if it turns red it’s working. Also if you put it in a large room, try to keep it in front of or next to the AC because that will make it purify air better
Hi! you were mainly mentioning smell, what about dust? I have a parrot and it has lots of dust powder and danders. Do it help? or it might be needing something different? Thanks!
They're seems to be some difference between marketing representation and reality: it does remove the smell. Imagine that the carbon filter does even more.
I was thinking of buying this until I saw on Amazon it produces an ‘electrostatic charge’ to attract dust, I’ve read that could mean it produces ozone which is bad for your lungs? Can’t seem to find out if it does or not, any ideas? Thanks!
@@nomanumarnpl3258 i ordered online costed me 30k the filter lasts for atleast 6months. Its efficient and in the start when you turn on it runs at full power but goes quiet after cleaning in about 20mints and then very less noise. I am satisfied with the purchase
Hi...hows going ur purifier...i bought it too nd its all the time red..sometimes it changes its clr to pink nd then its again red Why is this happening?
Nobody is telling us how to deal with the dry thrown air from the air purifier worsening the allergy symptoms and causing inflammation in your airways?
Generally if there is mould, it may be sensible to seek assistance professionally (re. Mould) as living in that environment may be detrimental to health. Air purifier may attempt to address the symptoms, but addressing the cause may be useful.
If you’ve never used an air filter these are great. ru-vid.comUgkx_dppjvjF8BYEmPSDTcgCUdRsgWYLXNHN I ended up with three after starting out with one. The noise level depends on the 1-3 settings with how hard you want the machine to work. You can also upgrade the filters and get one better for pet hair and smells which is a must have in my home. I noticed the air seemed lighter and easier to breathe when running the machine for the first time. Works great every time. Highly recommended!
Each to their own. Personally I love the nice food scent when at home; though I'd open the window when the same nice food scent appears in an open plan office (say after lunch time). Each to their own.
