Photosensitivity warning
The woodgrain, door for the remote, large LED display, and stereo speakers make this CRT the coolest I’ve unit I’ve seen. The Philips 28CT8893/75T, model KR6687T has a a single Scart socket with RGB. I take a look at the 2B chassis for geometry adjustment and give it a quick degauss.
Correction, the tube is a A66EAK, not 68.

Wow, this one looks great with all that woodgrain, yet still supporting RGB via Scart ... I'd love to see such a set pop up in my neighborhood 🤩👍

I came in immediately because of the woodgrain, the remote control hideout, and knowing it was your channel, but I never expected it to have RGB SCART! Wonderful. And it's a Philips, love the brand.

We had also a Philips TV with the same remote control and the possibility to store the remote control inside the TV set. Our TV chasis was in silver. We got it on 31st of December 1987. 10 and half years later he was broken and there was no chance to repair him. I can still remember the blue scart input with button beside. Buying price was 2000 Dm which was very expensive.

You have to remember back in the day NTSC TV's picture quaility for TV was awful while TV on a PAL TV was amazing looking. I have some NTSC VHS and they look bad no matter what tv you play them on.

the Phillips tubes are great. I finally got a 20inch pvm, but prefer consumer sets with RGB scart, the pvm is just way too sharp for retro gaming but I guess growing up in the arcades in the 80's and 90's I'm used to a certain look.

I hear you. I honestly love both but for a while I did flip between Team Pro and Team Consumer. My daily driver right now is a consumer scart TV

@@MarcoRetro316 I've tried a few times to like the pvm and I feel like the only reason I'm keeping it is to say I have one, the 14 inch grundig I have is such a beautiful picture, smooth vibrant and easy viewing.

It's nice to look at TV setfrom Philips and find the same details as the IR logo like on their CD players. By the way, it looks like Trendset was just below their top-tier series - MatchLine, these were digital inside, with 100Hz refresh rate. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JzUp1E7xl2k.html and here's a commercial for a Trendset TV, with a similar place for the remote

Out if place? I put darker woods (walnut to ebony) in my black and white themed room and never thought it looked out of place.

Unless tampered best to leave the CRT Convergence magnets alone can be very time consuming to adjust and fiddly, possibly the CRT has low emissions also

I would’ve linked in the description but the one I bought isn’t available anymore and are replaced by those green degauss wands which might be the same internally although they look slimmer. Filming without flicker is quite easy, just set the shutter speed to the same as the Hz. Zo 1/50 for PAL and 1/60 for NTSC. My Lumia Phone from 2013 does this in 2 clicks.... (Hello APPLE!)

I recently discovered an app to change shutter speed so my later videos don’t tend to have flicker. And yep, good ol’ Apple didn’t include the feature themselves so it’s 3rd party. Thanks for the comment 😃
