A Philadelphia radio host has resigned after a controversial interview with President Biden. WURD, an independent Black-owned talk radio station, landed Biden's first interview following the June 27th presidential debate. During a CNN interview, the station's host, Andrea Lawful-Sanders, admitted to asking Biden questions that the White House had sent her in advance.

It's not an interview if the answers are prepared in advance. Did you ever attend college (a good one)? Ever take an ethics class? How does an audience gain anything if it is just campaign propaganda and the candidate is not under stress via difficult questions. If you are sheep, make sure you claim the name proudly.

@christyann1201 There are predictable questions that any candidate knows to prepare for at a Town Hall (Biden or Trump) because they are supposed to be "regular people" asking the questions (truthful answers are another story). Black radio station is supposed to ask a few difficult questions (reparations, open borders affect on black wages, educational resources and housing) plus a few softball easy ones. But, I see your POV, we don't all think the same way, nor should we.

Most are predictable based on your record, circumstances, and if they have screened (usually) the audience so hostile ir difficult questions never get asked. My point: they get our vote for little in return, so difficult questions MUST be asked. You get what you settle for.

I’m confused as to why she would be interviewed by CNN in the first place. CNN set her up and she fell for it. Unfortunately, she was just not savvy enough to answer the question in a diplomatic way. All she had to say was we follow industry guidelines when it comes to questions. She answered truthfully but without knowing this is standard, it makes it seem like she was biased.

Because you're supposed to hold politicians accountable and not cater to them and only ask questions that they approve. Because then you come off as being more of a PR person for them. So the radio station was embarrassed and fired her. But I don't agree they should have fired her. Sure, but in the last month, Biden is now the one saying, "He alone can beat Donald Trump/fix nato/get deals done/etc..." In fact, Biden has undermined a great number of issues against Trump by now. From accepting the right wing framing of the border or on student protestors. Also, he weakens the case as this being for the "defense of democracy" because when asked what happens if Trump wins, Joe just brushed it off as "well...we will know I tried." Like, Brother, if Trump wins or loses and it's still time to dig in for a very hard fight because getting Trump out is just one battle front of this war. I think Joe has convinced people that if Trump is gone, we're fine... and that's scary to me as someone who plans to live linger than just the next 4 years.

Because they wanted it to seem authentic like he didn’t prepare for the questions in advance. The reason for his radio tour he’s going on is to prove that his brain is working, but if you have four of eight pre-selected questions that you practice for probably 100 times I just look at it like getting the answers to the test
