Hey man, awesome interview. Im also from Adelaide in those days... started writing in 1984...and have spent some time with Pho. Everything he speaks is truth and I like his attitude. Hanging out at Myers on Sat arvos in 1985, bombing red hens, going to Soul Train records in Adelaide Arcade, racking Subway Art from Angas & Robertson bookstore in Rundle Mall, going down to Mt Gambier to hit freights with KAB and RISK...man, those were the days. And now...my own kids are older than I was then haha! Aint life a funny thing 😊
I pieced around Salisbury on the line, 94-99 gave up at 18 but done 40+ walls etc... solo operator but these guys were the real deal, looked up to... reading through full effect mag....
I remember one night in 1993 climbing the razor wire fence in Adelaide yards because a shadow appeared at the end of the lay up. It turned out a bloke who was with us went away from the group to bomb the trains. It was so disappointing because we had a couple end to ends on 2000 half filled. This was when cameras came into effect and no one really tested out the boundaries. Im pretty sure I was part of the first panels ever done when cameras first got installed. We did a JBL RCF panel on the trams at Morphettville. We also were getting filmed for the sprayed conflict documentary, which didnt make the finished product, for some reason not explained
I'll never forget the morning I saw the 'Whole Car' in 89 Dave did - the legend was born in Adelaide. Told me he was going to do and did - this was a pivotal point in the scene when I was still in it - I was just in F#¤%G awe of Dave and his approach,,,,,, to me him along with Gee/Sway - Waste - Rank - Rust - Armsy - Plea - Run 71 and for sure Tense - Chrome (R.I.P) were the rocks of the scene back then. His previous video was such a mindblower for me - paint runs across the other side of the city - I cant remember how many times that poor bastard in the shoe shop on Brighton Road was flinched by us for specialty paint. Yard work was trial by error - Adelaide - Belair the old freight yards on the plains - looking for any wall visible from the 73A line. Kill rust is still a killer outline paint. Good times and the only escape from a pretty shitty city! Live on in splendor PHOA! 35 years later I still think of you fondly!
Puzler wca ac dma king of Melbourne. Melbourne had a hard scene of graffiti blended with street gangs. The Frankston line had PFK from Frankston as well as Dandenong with Fmc and ksa. Not only king writers but sophisticated criminals.
