I believe Phoebe is a big fan of Elliott Smith, and the layered vocals are something that was signature to him that she carries through in her own beautiful work. I would also recommend Angel Olsen and Soccer Mommy.

At the end of Graceland Too the extra voices that come in are Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker. They're quite good friends and have a very short, but have an absolutely fantastic little record named Boygenius that consists of the 3 of them. It's one of my favorite records and i strongly recommend you give it a listen.
I literally watch every punisher reaction that comes out, just to hear thoughts from a different perspective (and they’re pretty much universally positive, cause of course they are). You should definitely check out one of Phoebe’s bands, boygenius, which is with two other wonderful indie singer-songwriters, Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus. They only have a short EP out as a group, but Julien and Lucy also sing backup on Graceland Too and I Know the End. Julien even has a record coming out in late February (Little Oblivions), which will actually also feature Phoebe and Lucy, and I’d love to see a reaction to it, if you get a chance!
please listen to Be The Cowboy by Mitski. I think you’d really dig it, it has pretty diverse sounds in an indie-pop package with every song being it’s own poem and having wonderful lyrics and production.
I just love when more and more people are discovering Phoebe Bridgers' amazing talent and songwriting especially in this past year. I discovered her just last year when Punisher released and it was the best thing that ever happened to me. She's truly one of a kind ❤️

I only got into Phoebe last year when I listened to Stranger in the Alps for a Twitter Music Writers Exercise in February. So when this album came out I first heard it in full on the bus ride to work and I was just sat there silently crying for the vast majority of it. Her music means so much to me

you should react to endless by frank ocean it’s an album he dropped two days before blonde as a sort of fake out for his label in order for him to get all the revenue from blonde but its still a very good album

Good album. Many people have been follower her for a long time--others, like yourself (and admittedly, me) have only gotten to her now. Glad she's getting the attention. This album has a bit different of a sound from her previous work. Would be great for you to react to Kate Bush's Hounds of Love. It's one of the pinnacles of pop music, imo. Or maybe Joanna Newsom's Ys, which is lyrically and melodically genius.
