Great reaction video - you're the first reactor to correctly get Graceland Too on first listen. - and it was written for and about her friend and bandmember from Boy Genius - singer/songwriter extrordinare Julien Baker who has been in rehab and has a few great albums out of her own. Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus (also from Boy Genius) are singing the beautiful harmonies during that exceptional outro.
The "circle" that you wanted or thought was going to happen in "I know the end" *does* sort of exists. The end melody is DVD menu. The album blends and can be played in a loop! Great review/ reaction.
@@FernStone I'm v glad to know it's growing on you, phoebe has another album called ‘stranger in the alps’, if there's ever enough recommendations in the future for u to do it it'd be really amazing to see ur reaction to it, but if not you should give it a listen regardless, it came out before punisher and it's nice to see phoebe's mindset and influences from back then ☺️
If you loved "Graceland Too," you really have to listen to Boygenius, which is the musical "supergroup" made up of Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus, and Julien Baker. I believe the harmony in "Graceland Too" is with Lucy or Julien. They put out a self-titled EP with lots of *gorgeous* harmonies and wonderful songwriting. Also check out Lucy Dacus' album Home Video, especially her song "Please Stay," which is kind of a parallel to "Graceland Too." I believe there has been some speculation that Please Stay and Graceland Too are about Julien, who I think has struggled the most (of the three) with depression/mental illness....but it could be referring to other friends too (and themselves). Lucy's song "Thumbs" is incredible, too. Oh and finally, you'd probably like a lot of Mitski - my favorite albums are Puberty 2 and Be the Cowboy.

btw I don't know if you know a band called ‘The Japanese House’, they have an album called ‘Good at Falling’ and it's one of the best artworks I've ever heard so far and I've heard soooo many hahaha, probably the most unique experience I've had, hope that maybe u can react to it one day ^^
i only recently started watching music reaction videos on youtube, but your vids have to be my favorite! theres something about the formating of them and they way you speak about the music that works really well
i know this video is so old but it actually DOES go full circle!!!! listen to the strings in dvd menu and then the melody at the end of i know the end. they match up!! such a cool little addition
honestly you're right. it's going for a full circle. the outro of I Know The End is the intro of DVD Menu. so the 'The End' is 'The Beginning'. so welcome, to the Punisher.

Awesome reaction! You picked up on a lot of things! Chinese Satellite is my favorite and it always gives me the chills. You should listen to Boygenius (it's Phoebe's project together with Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus-the two additional voices in Graceland Too harmonies) and Julien Baker's latest album Little Oblivions. (It did actually come full circle. Listen to DVD Menu again, it's got the same melodies as I know the end).
Your beautiful understanding of the lyrics is so refreshing because Phoebe truly knows how to gut a person with her storytelling. And watching you almost live inside the instrumentals while the songs are playing made me pick up things I missed in them, despite listening to this album over and over! Beautiful video. Doesn't feel like an ordinary reaction video

Yes , this is why I can dispute a claim … which I always do . So I tell the label that places the claim I am just reacting to and reviewing the song for educational purposes and it falls under fair use . However the label decides whether they think it is fair use or not . If they don’t, then my video is demonetised. If I then further appeal their claim and they still don’t agree they can take my video down and I could get a copyright strike ( if I get three , they take my channel) . So if you upload a video and it’s blocked straight away then you can do all these things but it’s more risky if the label doesn’t agree . The recent artists I did before AURORA didn’t accept my dispute, instantly ! Hence why I edited the Aurora video more as I was very cautious . Just a human reaction . It’s all a lot more complicated then people think and when people constantly compare reactors it’s frustrating, because copyright hits us all in different ways . From now on though I’m always going to try uploading before editing it too much ! I only didn’t one time out of caution because of recent frustrations . People are so so quick to judge and anger . But I’m fine with it 😂😂 💕💕
