The best 9mm pistol that I have ever held and fired? Dare I say that? From the original creators of the Sphinx 3000 and the Sphinx SDP come the Swiss-made Phoenix Redback and the Phoenix Fusion. It's a long video but the pistol is worth it.In this long video we take a table-top look at the Phoenix Redback.
It is a hand-made competition pistol made with the finest materials by master gunsmiths in Switzerland. If you haven't figured it out yet, I am in love with this pistol.

Very nice looking firearm, it distinguishes itself differnt from CZ and Tangfolio. I like the part about taking a optic off with the plate attached and not losing zero when you put it back on. Very good information.

I have no doubt this is a FANTASTIC gun, but I have a hard time beleiving that a Shadow 2 would be a ford in comparison to this being a rolls royce. I own multiple Shadow 2's, and Accushadow 2, and multiple TS2's custom built by CZC, and a Accu-TacSport2. I would put a ton of money on the fact that this gun will not outshoot those guns.

You have beautiful and great shooting guns. I either own the ones you mention as well or have had ample experience with them. I would strongly encourage you to shoot a Redback. Then you will see what I mean. It’s not just the accuracy, all mentioned are great. It is the overall shooting experience.

The slide locking surface, lack of barrel bushing and overall design as well as the barrel hood are oversimplified, so the locking is very Glock type, much less work than in 1911, 2011, CZ or Tanfoglio, for example. It does not look like a Rolls-Royce here. The nylon buffer in the frame also looks more like Daewoo. The outside is surely refined, but is it enough? With this design, I think, the accuracy can be high for a couple of thousand rounds or less, then it would drop. Just a superficial observation and a guess, which can be wrong, naturally (I hope so).

If you can, could you do a review of a different redback with the aluminum frame vs the partial aluminum frame for weight distribution (called light and ultralight) to get an idea how they feel and perhaps an optic ready version to showcase the damn cool mounting system. Also nice would be to see the new TS2 cause I think you had the TS Orange. I really like resting the thumb on the safety but sadly the DA/SA version of the S2 has the flat version on both sides. From the TS2 I miss the rail for a sensor or weighted lights since it's now possible in some divisions. Just in case, Merry Christmas.

I own a Redback SAO. I have to say, the Trigger is even smoother in that configuration. Abolsutely Zero Creep. You hit the wall and it brakes like glass. Not even the slightest bit of movement like you've had at 21:27 And thank you for the Video. I learned a lot more about it today alone than i have over the 2 Months i've owned it.

LIKED& SUBSCRIBED! I live near Interlaken and shoot at the indoor range, which is in the same building as Phoenix. They have 4 Demo models on a Stand you can Finger...but not shoot. It's sad there are not more Reviews/Tests on the Phoenix models.

Please correct me if I'm wrong... but do I see a plastic mainspring housing? The way the bottom of it catches the light, looks like plastic swirl marks. For a pistol at that price point, I hope I am wrong.

does phoenix have any relation to phoenix trinity that makes the morph 1776? i am guessing not but the morph switch or 1776 models are pretty awesome. but at a 4300 price point, i will probably never have one.

If you had to pick between the Phoenix or a Staccato where would you lean? I have a CZ A01 LD . Would the Phoenix be a better add to the collection or a Staccato P Duo? I know they are very different.... If you could only have one........

I’m not trying to avoid your question, but it’s all so subjective. I don’t have the Duo, but I do have the original Ptaccato P ad really like it. Gosh, that’s a tough choice, but if you’re pressing me for an answer, I would go with the Phoenix. But I highly suggest that you hold them both and see which one fits your hand better. Then, if possible, shoot them both and see which one you shoot better. I have a video coming up soon about the Phoenix ST which might be a better comparison to the Staccato than the Redback. @@MDpolo I have held the red back in my hand and it’s fantastic. Sadly I don’t think I can find a place where I can get a staccato in my hand but I do love the 2011. As for shooting either I am pretty sure that’s going to be impossible. I think the only difference between the P and the duo is the duo is cut for optic. I love the heavy all steel of the red back but it’s very similar to the A01 LD. I wonder what the staccato with the poly grip would feel like weight wise. Ugh decisions. Does the staccato P feel really light compared to the Phoenix?

@@MDpolo I owned the CZ S2 with the Cajun 10X bushing and the S2 Orange with the Accubushing. Also, trigger jobs with Cajun parts, etc. To be honest I prefer my regular S2 over the Orange and it shoots deads balls more accurately than the S2 Orange, the fitting of the 10X bushing is a lot tighter than the Acccubushing~ But perform exceptionally well!

The slide is all stainless steel that has been machine to perfection. As far as the mags are concerned, it takes CZ Shadow 2 mags. Thank you very much for watching!

Rolex is cheap compared to luxury watches like Patek Philippe or Vacheron Constantin. Rolex is the Honda Accord of Luxury watches. I need one of those guns in my life and may have to sell one of my Patek to get it. Lol. 🤣🤣🤣
