Adib Rifai It's a Japanese honorific that you put behind someone's name to be respectful. It's because Blackquill's a samurai, however when the rest of the text is in English it sounds rather silly.
Well, I mean, she does have logical reasons TO call her an "insolent criminal", considering she really does believe that she's a criminal and people don't typically give sympathy to them
Yeah, they all definitely have a closely knit family bond. It's especially nice since neither Athena or Apollo grew up with parents. Athena had relatives, sure, but she literally never talked about them soooo...
Yes, he seems to tolerate having screaming young adults in his office. Maybe raising Trucy for nine years had helped give Phoenix lots more practice in patience. Btw, Robin, I didn't know you were an Ace attorney fan. I think that's awesome! Kudos to you, little yellow/green unicorn!
The voice acting in the demo is also fucking amazing. Right before the Divination Seance, Rayfa does an entire speech and it's fully voice acted, and it sounds great. Of course, my awe for the voice acting was immediately trumped by THE FUCKING ANIMATIONS FOR THE DANCE ITSELF, HOLY SHIT IT LOOKS SO FUCKING GOOD!
Blackquill ruined the evidence by ripping the bag apart anyway. That whole case is never brought up after this opening sequence so I guess since Phoenix left, the defendant got fucked over.
I love how this channel has an awesome looking Wright finger point on this thumbnail, but on Nintendo's it's Wright's face when he's freaking out over the pork bun bag getting sliced
I like how they made the usual judge at 2:12 and the Khura'inese one at 4:28 sound a little bit different from each other. They sound identical in Japanese, which I don't like much because we have like, five judges that look enough like clones already.
I wasn't either at first, but then I heard they showed it at Anime Expo back in July. I guess they just decided to wait and release it on the same day as the demo.
***** then Investigations 2 can get an official one... Though honestly, Capcom were stupid to think that a game with Sherlock Holmes wouldn't sell in the west
Not sure about here, but Blackquill was played by Troy Baker in Dual Destinies, and the similarities between their voices is uncanny. Sounds like they got someone else to play him here though, which isn't too surprising considering Blackquill has a smaller role in this game. Yet he still has more voiced lines in this prologue than he did in the entirety of DD.
He also voiced Sigma in Zero Time Dilemma. Funny thing about that - not only do Sigma and Jotaro share a voice actor in English, they're also both voiced by Daisuke Ono in the Japanese version.
Man this game is so close I can taste it. Nice to see this with the english dub, I'm a fan of all the new voices and the returning cast. The demo was great too! This game is shaping up real good so hyped!
+Zvarri Velociraptor He's referencing the localization I've read some people joked that they'll be called "Frozen Cinnamon Buns" and "American Cherry Blossoms" XD
Oh my god. This was fantastic. Seeing Apollo and Athena yelling made me lose it. I was literally crying laughing. I've played the Demo, and I'm already anxious to play the full game. Something tells me this game will go in my Top 3 cause it looks that amazing.
1) They just used Blackquill's "SILENCE!" clip from Dual Destinies, didn't they? His voice later on sounds different. 2) I'm laughing my ass off with Apollo and Athena shouting they're fine. Especially in the background while Phoenix was taking the phone call XD 3) Maya's voice sounds... too mature. Too low-pitched. 4) Ahlbi, it's obvious you don't know Rayfa. 5) The whole "Phoenix goes to Khura'in because Maya seemed in danger" was completely left out of the game in the end.
Why the fuck does Travis Willingham suddenly voice the american judge? It sounded like they just caught up with him on the street and asked if he would voice a character on a whim, sounding like himself.
A Gott They could have reused the clip maybe. Either that or Baker is doing a damn good job of changing his voice, that's possible. Don't believe so no.
I gotta say, the demo was fantastic. I'm so glad they listened to the fans when they said Dual Destinies was too easy. When I had to present something and when I had to find the inconsistency in the seance, I wasn't sure if I was getting it right. I lost my shit at the end though when he said, "In the main game!" Laughed my ass off.
I hope the rest of the game is that difficulty. While I had an easy time with the demo, it was still a lot harder than Dual Destinies, because it didn't outright give us the fucking answers
Wow...they actually called them pork buns. I seriously did not expect that. (To be fair, I doubt there was much room to change them. Also, as Janet Hsu's noted on her blog, there's been a huge rise in popularity for Japanese food in the U.S.)
I’ve always wondered why the latest anime show couldn’t have this animation or have kept the original actors. Not that I’m complaining. The show is still awesome.
