Edgeworth flipping out during Hotti's testimony is the best part. "YES! THAT IS INDICATIVE OF BEING DEAD!"

Really fun fact: It is canon that after you win a trial gumshoe is the one who throws the confetti

Edgeworth:All of your traps are outdated- Like the autopsy report?

Edgeworth: Has a whole musical number about how Wright is wrong. Also Edgeworth: 30 seconds later is like “no, no, no, he’s got a point!”

I love how they reference specific sprites, there’s the objection pose obviously, but there’s also thing like Franziska’s curtsy and Larry’s pouty fists-up pose!

“So I might have accidentally faked my own death and framed Maya for murder. . .” So a Typical Tuesday, then.

3:41 - 3:52 I like how you can tell early in the video that Miles does have a legitimate soft spot for Maya and Phoenix.

I love Edgeworth's solo so much. Not only is John phenomenal in all of his mannerisms and tone of voice, but it's so obvious what he's doing--Miles knows Phoenix works best under pressure. The whole song is a hoax to push him to think, really think, hence the whole "Better the devil you know, Wright" at the beginning. He's forcing Phoenix into a corner. The moment Wright gets desperate is the moment he thinks outside the box and finds the true killer. That's why Miles is prosecuting the case--he knows how to push until Phoenix thinks on his feet, and how to object his points until his case is airtight. And if you watch the way John gestures while singing, you can see it too--at 15:40, right after Phoenix says "Take it easy on me, Miles, whose side are you on?", he leans forward and makes direct eye contact. The tilt of his head, the modulation in the key, the sudden sincerity, all reading, "I am on your side. C'mon, Phoenix, *think.*" It's so good. Plus, it's catchy as hell. Anyway, I love it.

Edgeworth: Does a whole song about Phoenix being wrong Edgeworth 10 seconds later: *he might be right*

Ok after playing through Ace Attorney, I think there is an underrated bit of wordplay: "We've been through worse right?" "Like Clockwork." In cases 1-1 and 1-2, the critical piece of evidence was a statue of the Thinker that was a clock made by Larry Butz, and Maya was the defendant in 1-2 So not only was it a reference to Maya's previous record of being framed for murder, it also references Larry Butz himself, and how he made a clock that ended up killing Maya's sister. Damn.

The performans of Payne and Edgeworth's actors are * chefs kiss * perfection

I love how Edgeworth screams "Eureka!" after figuring out the case. Nice representation of the use of Logic (the best "magical lawyer superpower")

The ending still proves one myth. When something smells... it's usually The Butz.

you guys have no idea what this musical did for me. discovering this is what got me into ace attorney, and if i didn't get into aa, i don't know where id be right now. it may seem stupid to say everything good that happened for me came from a 21 year old lawyer game. but it's true. i wouldn't have met my current friends, and i wouldn't be in any other fandom im in right now. ace attorney changed my life for the better. i remember how miserable i was back then, and met the people who saved me, and i only met them because i liked ace attorney this video saved me.

I love how they perfectly created a case that seems like it would be in the game. All the characters are on point, except the judge might be a bit too smart

The tension of each Ace Attorney case gives me goosebumps. Making one a musical just makes it a million times better.

This feels like an actually ace attorney case. This is great. Never thought I needed an ace attorney musical in my life but now I see that I did.

I think one of my favorite parts of this is just how *pained* Edgeworth looked when he called Oldbag to the stand

I was rewatching this, and I noticed that at 24:23 (around here) the Judge is doing Dr.Hotti’s like- movements? If that makes sense. It’s funny because Nathan plays both of the characters lol. Everyone did such a great job on this- and I started playing Phoenix Wright because of this a few years ago and I do not regret it.

After playing a Phoenix Wright game, I realized how well they actually did this. It feels like an actual case, and the dialogue is so close to how it actually is in the game

I'm impressed not just by how accurate are the impresonations and the trial but even the mannerisms are just on point. I just love it.
