With a 6 3/4” wrist 42 mm is huge. I have been so impressed with the many vids testifying to the quality & value of Phoebus watches. If they ever get to 38 mm the credit card will burn :-) Fine review. Thanks!

My older 45mm leviathan came on a strap but with a dlc coating. The only disadvantage was the strap. I replaced it with a dlc bracelet and its perfect. I wish they made a dlc version as well, who knows maybe they will. Awesome watch and a great value for money.

I just have to say that Phobias makes some very functional dive watches and it's great they're offering it two sizes the larger one worked just fine on my six and three quarters inch wrist and this smaller version will most likely get more wrist time out of the water and only at the introductory price not the full price Thanks for sharing another great review my friend Be well and Keep em coming as well 👍

I should pull a Jody from JMOW, as in his complaint about the Seestern "original" dial text. My complaint here is that a watch named "Leviathan" should remain the original giant size. V2 is not much of a Leviathan anymore. 😅

If micro brands can release such a quality product, with ceramic bezel, screwed bracelet links, nice case finishing, perfect end link integration at £200, you can imagine the amount of profit big brands like Seiko are making, on their inferior watches.

I think they missed an opportunity here I’ve only had one Phoibos a wavemaster I really liked it but this should have been 39 with shorter lug to lug but at least they are listening and trying to accommodate their customers

This is a serious rival to the Zelos Swordfish and the Helm Komodo (I own both) ....but in my collection I've got more phoibos than any other brand. Love their designs and build quality ...but their clasp game is variable....the clasp on this is the same as the one on my Frost dial Proteus ...it's the only weak of the watch ...it doesn't fit with the rest of the watch.

I thought they would downsized it into 42mm not 40mm when I first heard about a new smaller Leviathan. The old one had only one flaw if you can call that a flaw, the rubber strap. Isoframe style strap was not the best strap option. Build quality is solid at Phoibos. On the bigger one a bracelet would look enormous. However I like the older bigger model. This new trend that every watch is getting smaller or has to be smaller is ridiculous. Budget watches, hommage watches, microbrands. There are a variety of wristsizes and more important taste preference for everyone. Don't get me wrong I don't mean that watches have to be big and bigger. From sales perspective going smaller is not an argument, because the big leviathan was sold out, so people bought it. I think it is more a new range of customers with the smaller one. For me and my wrist everything below 42mm looks too small personally.

@@maximushornet I have not deleted any comments on this video. This is the Leviathan Version 2, which is the same design as Version 1 but smaller. Leviathan 1 was released approx 2 years ago. This precedes the Erebus Origin by approximately 18 months.

Watch manufactures need to understand: if you're releasing a diver available in only one size, it should be 39mm or 40mm in width. Because those sizes generally please all wrists (generally). Otherwise, release a 39mm or 40mm with a larger 42mm option. Tudor did great by offering their black bay diver in three different sizes: 37mm, 39mm, and lastly, 41mm. Granted, it took Tudor several years to do this.
