Gorgeous, bit of 70s thrown in (got a couple of period bracelets of similar design) love the case shape, industrial n a hint of old omega. Superb dial really great to see them being adventurous with the materials, hats off to them, whoever grabs one of these is going to be well pleased. Not me unfortunately, my watch budget is blown atm. Great video as ever, cheers.

Very nice dials Al, and great lume is always welcome. I'm not crazy about the dial shape, but it could feel a lot different when you wear it. The narwhal on the back is very cool. I do like when effort is put into making an interesting caseback.

I ordered the Yellow one today. I think at 38mm with it's 'squared' cushion-case it will have more than enough presence without being bulky.

Nice looking but the tonneau case would look better with a little less bulk like Zenith's recent chrono reissue. Launch price is reasonable. For those who maybe interested Howlite is said to have anxiety and stress relieving properties.

Damn that's a nice watch. If the green one had been a Malachite dial there's no way I could have resisted but I must try as already splurged a load of cash on watches this year. If there is an addition discount code at launch and this is closer to €300 rather than €400 then it's an excellent deal. If you don't have a Phoibos then get one.

I like a lot of what they've done here. Stone dial, date position, nice lume, great size. My two dislikes: the case shape and the "crowdedness" of the dial. For the size, the indices and handset are just a bit too large...IMHO, not enough open space. I'd definitely encourage Phoibos to try another 38-40 mm diver...this one is getting close! Thank you for a great review!

There is one specific feature of this watch I don't like. The 12 o'clock marker is so wide it covers up the adjacent minute markers.

I’m not a fan of this particular line from Phoibos. It’s too busy for my liking, but the depth at less than 12mm is a pleasant surprise. Some of their pieces are way too bulky; doesn’t appear to be the case here.

I really dislike pre order + limited edition combo, that fabricated scarcity is meh. But it is what it is, it makes it so comfortable for businesses, not for me, I'm no impulse buyer... I give Phoibos credit for design and size and proportions here. Definitely a good direction for them and the customer in that department.

Dumb question: why does this brand cost so much more than something from San Martin or Seestern?

In.general, they don't. The last Phoibos I reviewed was only £199. This is a more premium model from them. They are making original designs, whereas Seestern specialises in homages, so their design costs are minimal. Many San Martin watches cost over $300 these days. Thanks for watching 👍👍
