Had a guy when I worked in rehab that claimed to have gotten his prosthetic because of 'Nam. Except we knew he was too young for 'Nam. Turned out he blew most of that arm off stealing somebody's electricity. These guys are EVERYWHERE.

@@Sulucnumoh420 it sounds harsh, but there's a reason; if these people are so desperate as to import something like a SEAL story into their personality, clearly they view that personality as severely lacking, meaning they're likely very hollow as people. Clearly they have no qualms about lying over something serious like combat - something that generally involves shit like the death of other human beings. So consider a human being with a hole in their personality, someone with no problems lying to lots of people, someone with a significant lack of morality, i.e. about shit like the deaths of/killing of other human beings. Consider a person like that, and ask yourself if you want them as your doctor, or if you want them taking care of your children, or if you want them in any sort of position of responsibility period. These are people whos jobs generally demand openness and transparency - if you ask a doctor about their experience or education, they'll tell you. If you ask a childcare worker about their experience or education, they'll tell you. If a person can spit out a lie about military experience without hesitation, they could just as easily lie about their experience/education. I sure as fuck don't want someone like that with access to my medical files or my children. I don't think killing them is a solution, but something like throwing their ass in the clink or in a mental hospital couldn't hurt.
Bot of those guys reay bothered me. The daycare guy never served in the Navy but would show up at a local recruiters office and speak to the new recruits as a Retired SEAL Master Chief.

I have NEVER asked for any award , or acknowledgment , I do get medicine , and treatment 20 plus years later from the 9/11 foundation in which I am grateful for . I am not a hero or claim to be , hero’s are the men and women who didn’t make it home 9/11/2000 . They apply the "Hero" label to every cop who dies for whatever reason and they expect a Chris Kyle funeral as well. Just compare the SEAL Trident pin to the pin that S.W.A.T members wear, although they are different, the similarities are no coincidence. Cops shouldn't be in this conversation.

For instance, look up Tania Head, she was in the same support group as me (Voices of September 11th) she was claiming her fiancé had died in one Tower, and she had barely escaped the other. She had scars from a car accident which she claimed she'd gotten on 9/11. _She wasn't even in the US on 9/11._ 🤦🏾♀️ Having family or friends killed on 9/11, or surviving, or working either rescue or recovery in the aftermath, isn't AT ALL like being a SEAL and none of us would say it was. However in terms of fakers, who TAKE resources by lying, we very much understand how absolutely maddening that is.

Played tennis, football and basketball. I also received a 6 month early out. Can't wait to go to the vfw and tell my war stories. Lol. But seriously I knew 4 high school buddies that never made it back from Vietnam. I think about them always and will never forget them. Joe, Steve, Dale and George. RIP
A bunch of special people didn't come back from Vietnam, I was crushed when they classified me 4f,I believe it distroyed my self esteem because another young mans remains were found a few years ago, god bless our veterans and service people everywhere, god bless America
I just made E8 in the Army and it blows my mind. I could never claim to be as elite as men like Don. I’m proud of achieving the same grade but what you do matters more to those who really know and serve.
Was not a Team guy, but a fleet HM1 and I can tell if someone is bullshitting within 5 seconds of hearing them speak. There's just so many things to catch them on. And I have enough friends and family in other branches that I can tell when they're lying about that as well

That one fake said he had scars that would prove he wasn’t lying. I have scars on my body too, but they never actively come to my defense for shit! They just kind of sit there, completely useless, and looking all scar-like. I guess they expect me to talk about how I got them. The good news is that if I decided to lie, they’d have my back and never saying a word.

Yeah it seems a lot of these guys say the are seals or sf blah blah blah too scare ppl too think they will beat them up or something. And it’s a shame. I have family that are active and retired military in all branches as well. My cousin is SF. But I’m not saying all the military guys but I’ve cleaned house with acouple in my younger 20’s at bars with some pretty highly trained guys. But I’ve trained Mix martial arts since I was 12 years old and I’m 31 now. I hate fake wanna be military that have never served a day in there life just as much as someone who did serve or still active that thinks they can bully ppl and think they can beat everyone’s ass. Again not knocking them up military don’t get much fighting training as far as hand to hand too be “deadly with there hands” like most say. It pretty fun playing with them making them tap or slapping them around after they say it.

I knew a guy who served in the National Guard as a medic, but never left the states during the very early 70s. However, he would tell people war stories, and start by saying’ During Nam, I was a combat medic.’ He also had green beret hats hanging up in every room at his house.

Yeah! I've got scars from the top of my thighs on both legs from an under water knife battle to the death. A scar and crushed shoulder which is 2 inches below the left from an UID AND a plethora of broken bones from missions over almost 3 years. What more proof do you need?
