@crazyweedude that is probably because you have the content of the layer selected and you haven't duplicated the layer but the content. To work safe duplicate the layer in the panel by dragging the layer on the "new layer" button then you can drag it or, for precision, use arrow keys, best coupled with SHIFT to move by 4px (or 8, don't remember) increments

Could you show us a few ways to make different styles for texts? Like fire text, water text that's dripping etc.?

@lvldsnr PS: letter D sets default black+white in the palette and X switch the foreground to background
