Wow, Betty! Questions: Is there a way to add a drop shadow to create more depth to a manipulated image? And, what version of PS do you use? I’m eager to finish watching this series. I’ve taken several PS classes and you explain things so much better. I think I just may have to invest in the software for my iPad Pro now. 😂 Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and skill.
You can absolutely add a drop shadow. I will see if I can do a video showing you exactly how to do it. You click on your layer and then choose “load as selection”. Once you do that, you create a new layer and use the paint bucket to fill that new layer in using black (or whatever other color you want.). After you do that, you deselect the layer and then click on “Gaussian blue”. I normally do about 40% for a full size image. Then I take the original layer and (on the layers tab), I will move the original layer to be on top of the new layer and then merge down.
Betty your videos are so inspiring! The last couple of days I have taken a dive into the deep end of digital paper creation and have been working on a digital paper. It really has been so relaxing and enjoyable. And you're right, given all the same graphics and idea we really all can make a different piece.

Excellent! It was so cool to watch you create like that. I have a drawing tablet that connects to my PC, so I can use a pencil/pen like that. It's much easier than using the mouse. Of course I want an iPad and pencil now..lol I never knew the brush tool had a clear option. Total game changer!! Thanks so much for doing these tutorials.
Hi Betty. I have been watching your Photoshop tutorials and have a quick question. I have an IPad and I currently have been trying to learn Canva on my desktop. . I was wondering once you export your png does it save within Photoshop? I always work on my desktop so that when I save it I can save it to my Word files, but I think I would rather work on my IPad. I’m just not sure how to retrieve them so that I can use them. Obviously technology is not my Forte’
