One of the best nuke test videos I've seen is the HD remaster of the US Nuclear cannon test during the Upshot Knothole tests.

Watching that mushroom cloud makes me peaceful. Like a sun set. Bright and slow. But that thing is the opposite of peace. Just like the Sun, if you go near it.

The thing that makes Castle more scary and creepy to look at compares to the Tsar is that i feel its easier to actually see the scale of the explosion

Can you please talk about Project A119 or the time when the US tried to nuke the moon? Also Atomic Veterans, people who were exposed to nuclear explosions like lab-rats?...its crazy how they describe their experience like seeing their on skeleton as a shadow on the ground, like an X-ray.

I wonder how much antimatter it would take to achieve the same effect as Castle Bravo, or Tzar Bomba, if you could get it all to react with matter before it blew itself apart? Keeping typical nukes physics packages together long enough for more populations of neutrons to be produced, so more nuclear fuel is consumed, is the big problem with the efficiency of nukes, and that will be the same problem with antimatter weapons, making enough antimatter react before it goes boom. I like the Star Trek photon torpedo warhead idea of intermixing the reactants in a manner that maintains isolation until detonation, then drives the “packets” of matter and antimatter together at high speed, but even that is a theoretically inefficient method, but the best Starfleet could do until quantum torpedoes made them all but obsolete.
