Dark matter scientist - PhD candidate in astrophysics at Swinburne University of Technology working on dark matter particle physics. More specifically, dark matter detection via quantum sensing technology.
You didn't react to Steins;Gate, you reacted to someone's video talking vaguely about Steins;Gate, then pause every 10 seconds to spend a minute shitting on it over semantics. I bet you buzzkills are REAL popular at parties lol. Learn to enjoy stuff, and more importantly, don't lie in your video titles.
I don't understand how this is even the place for a "scientist" to act like they have any sort of authority on this subject. The problems are largely not so present in Kurzgesagt's science itself, but in their political and social commentary on the type of science they select to focus on. There is no amount of expertise or special knowledge a scientist could have which can "debunk" what The Hated One is saying, because it's fundamentally not a video about science. Kurzgesagt is NOT being critiqued for their scientific accuracy.
The "flip and burn" concept was not first conceived by the authors of The Expanse. I first read about it 1965 in the Robert Heinlein novel "Have Space Suit-Will Travel" that itself had been written in 1958. Heinlein was an engineer (with a Navy background) who had worked with early US space engineers of the day.
I don't know why I thought I'd be able to appreciate this video having no knowledge on physics :( Nothing on you, it's just....I'm too dumb to get anything. I don't even know what most of the words mean.
I hope you react to Three Body (adaptation of The Three Body Problem book) and give your thoughts and explanations since it's hard sci-fi! Please choose the chinese version here on RU-vid instead of the Netflix version...
Plus, Amy said that the Chinese invented sandwiches, which is wrong. They were invented like Sheldon said, ( at first ) by John Montague, the earl of sandwich
I am intrigued. I finished the Big Bang Theory about 2 years ago and I love peoples' reactions to them so it's really cool to see a channel with some real insights into the show
You look like the physicist version of other universe’s “you”. Like you are many things on every single multiverse but on this specific one you are a physicist. And sooner or later other you will enter your universe to get your help on a scientific mission cause they need at least 10 of all kinds of you to save the universe.
So... no time for youtube whatsoever because of the PHD? Surely you can muster at least a video a month!😳 PS: If black lives matter, then surely dark stuff matters in lives too.😏
"Chemistry, which is easy physics".... That hit me straight in the heart! Especially since I gave up on an Astrophysics degree to graduate with a Chemistry degree😢.... Why are physicists so mean?! 😅
Opinions are not facts.. you are not being very open minded. The whole point is we DONT KNOW what the odds are. You are falling in to the trap of being arrogant based on “odds”. If life is so easy to form then simply putting the ingredients together we would’ve made life already.. the time wouldn’t matter if we have the right conditions.
"We're gonna skip every important science discovery." My dude says during the part highlighting the Industrial Revolution... But also, history of the entire world, I guess, would be A LOT longer of a video if Bill had included every single civilization/scientific discovery ever made.
Invoking the creation of entire universes every time a wave function appears to collapse, or a sentient being makes a decision, really seems to be the most flagrant disregard for ockham’s razor I’ve ever heard, even more so than god of the gaps.
