Not that I can direct you to the exact video, but a while ago she uploaded a set of videos explaining how she calculated her caloric needs during the time when she was tracking her macros. She laid it out for if you need to recover from eating too few calories and in those videos she explain in good detail what the difference between hypertrophy and strength training is ☺️ hopefully that helps in case you want to search back through her videos!

The whole idea of thinking of your long term goals instead of short term physique is soooo important and thank you for pointing it out in this video. I often struggle with the dilemma of wanting to be a better runner vs how training makes my body look, even though I know what matters most to me is the physical achievement. We need to celebrate strong, powerful and athletic bodies more, not just the classic size 6 model or the Instagram booty girls. They are beautiful too but athletic bodies can be really under represented at times.

Xanthe R I agree with you 💯!!! I am a strength training vlogger here on RU-vid and I train for amateur strongwoman! I’m so happy to see that women are slowly embracing strength training more. I love lifting and how it’s shaped my body. I’m not like the normal insta chic kinda gal lol I love the grit of strongwoman :)... plus it’s pretty badass! 💕

I love that you transitioned to functional training. I am a retired physical therapist and athletic trainer. I used to do mostly weight lifting for aesthetics. I thought stretching and functional training was over rated. BOY WAS I WRONG. What I realized as I got older (55 years old right now) is I still look good but boy did I get tight and mobility as you get older especially if you retire goes. EVERYONE should add stretching and functional mobility to their training if the goal is to have an active life free of pain way up into your older years(which pain comes with increasing limited mobility). Incorporating animal movements has been awesome as well as increasing functional movement patterns in training which require the use of multiple muscle groups working together vs just a bench press. Keep up the good work I think you have optimized the way most people should train if quality of life is goal.

The fitness industry really needs more people like you, Natacha. People who mindlessly throw out guides to make money and who don't have a knowledgable scientific background are given wayyyy to much credit. I TRUST YOU! You have showed your audience that you have tried it ALL, that you have taken science into account, that you are fine with not having the curviest physique but your body does amazing things because you don't, that the improved quality of life because of your fitness (not fitness as your life) is what is important. Your guide MOVE. is the first I have purchased and you are probably the first and last person I will purchase guides from. Thank you for sharing your journey!!!!

I've been going to the gym 5-6 times a week for around 6 months now. My journey started with cardio also and as my confidence grew I started weightlifting. I'm starting my strength training with pull-ups but I still focus on hypertrophy. There are just so many moves and machines to learn how to use! I think exploring that is what keeps me doing what I'm doing. Some days I still feel like I don't know how to lift! 😅

Natacha I cannot say how all the information you give us has changed my way of training and also my body. I did purchase your training guide Move and since then I have seen not only changes in my physique (as having more definition overall and more peachy bum haha) but also how helpful it has been to my progressive overload. Before following your guide I was not able to squat more than 50 kg (I weight 54 kg) for a year I could only do one rep 60 kg but with my knees caving in and my hip wobbling all over the place.. for an entire year! I was so frustrated.. And you honestly are so right in mixing hypertrophy with strength but also unilateral/isometric exercises. Also you included so much of accessory exercises (in Move) that I believe they are essential. Now I squat comfortably 60kg 5 reps and I am building up my pull-ups! I cannot stress enough how valuable is the information you share with us. Thank you very much :)

Thank you for always being so honest and sticking to the facts. You deserve way more subscribers as the message you put out is so real and important. My journey so far is a bit similar to yours, I did my first half marathon last October and since then have been lifting at least twice a week and have been bulking. I’m doing a bit of a cut now but taking it slow and steady as I don’t want to kill off my metabolism. Sorry for the ramble, love your RU-vid and Instagram so much, keep it up Natacha 💖🥰

I absolutely love your videos, they’re so inspiring. It’s probably just me being dumb, but I have no idea what all those different types of training styles are, it would be really helpful if u did a video explaining all the different styles and their benefits xx

I really liked this video, very interesting! I just started weigth training a few months ago, after being a "cardio queen" myself haha, and I LOVE the way my body is starting to look, can't believe I never did this before

I'm in the middle of this process right now! Fractured my spine, it's taken two years to get back to where I am now. Goals moving forward are pain-free movement (still not there yet), a solid metabolism and just get to a point of normality. I just want to enjoy food, training and life! Love your videos, no guys do any content like this. Like I care, you're better anyway! Thanks, Natacha! 💪🏻

Hi Natacha! Can you make a video explaining the different styles of training? Like what actually is hypertrophy, strength training, functional training etc.? And can you throw in a couple of nutrition tips for the different styles?

You're really starting to get me interested in hypertrophy training; you always talk about this training style with so much love. I think I will give it a try. 😊

hey sweetie!! tbh I love and respect all styles of training, hypertrophy is great for building muscle and learning lifting techniques before going into heavier lifts so it was great as a starting point (: xxx

Wooh you go girl! Hypertrophy training is an amazing starting point bc you'll learn crucial things like mind-muscle connection, time under tension and other exercise cues that will help you refine your technique. It helps you become more aware of what goes on in your body and it's an amazing journey xxx

Hi! Okay so I started your cut program and I have loved the workouts! I am just really struggling with the nutrition side of things. In the past I've struggled with anorexia and now I am just overweight and my mindset is just super jumbled. I've tried tons of diets and can't seem to stick to one or follow through usually longer than a week or two! I started watching your videos a couple weeks ago figured out I now have binge eating disorder I just obsess over a food and eat as much of it as I can and usually its late at night etc... Its also been hard because I have younger siblings who just love to eat junk food all day and being around them its hard to ignore or say no to those foods. I find myself constantly thinking about food and when I can eat next etc... I have tried cutting my calories and eating less, but that just makes my brain want to eat more! Its like I am addicted to unhealthy food! This has been my lifestyle for the last couple of months and I am desperate for a fix or solution! I have never struggled with working out or getting to the gym I love that part of it. Just can't figure out the nutrition aspect especially with trying to loose some weight. Is there anyway you could do a video on how to overcome these urges to eat junk food 24/7, or if you have any tips I am desperate to feel comfortable in my skin again. :/ thanks!! -Kenadi (also I love your videos and you, you're amazing!)

Could you please do a video explaining what these different types of training styles are and examples of exercises for beginners? I’m starting out and find all these terms quite intimidating. Love your channel xxx
