My favorite part of the whole fight is towards the end where Piccolo and 17 both ditch the martial arts and just start slugging the shit out of each other and tossing each other around.
Them not blocking anymore meant they were pouring ALL of their energy into the punches they were throwing. It meant that they were trying to put the other down ASAP. 17 had unlimited stamina, and Piccolo almost defeated 17 once already. Both had reason to end the fight QUICK.
I feel it was more like well neither of us hit hard enough to do good damage while we out here doing flips and shit, full power punches is all that's left lol
Closest to it was Goku's Torpedo Kamehameha (when he was under the ocean, fighting with Freiza). But you're right they never stopped a ki blast once it was launched.
@@omrin6834 that wasn't a kamehameha, it wasn't a beam, It was two balls of energy that he could control remotely, that was a spirit ball, which is mostly commonly used by Yamcha
@@omrin6834 don't trust dubs when it comes to dialog, shit always gets changed for no reason by people that don't understand that changes might cause continuity errors. Kamehameha's are beams. 100% of the time. That move was an energy ball. Therefore, not a kamehameha. We've seen the moves before from other characters, it's the spirit ball. Use your head a little
@@KoochieLipz yeah fr when I was younger I loved it but looking at it now that shit looked kinda stupid😭 was suppose to be a fire fight to know who's the strongest but I couldn't even see what was going on
So Goku VS Freeza, Goku VS Cell, etc? Super had that at points, don't get me wrong. But when the budget was used we got episodes like Goku VS Gohan and Goku VS Jiren round 1. Which are objectively some of the best animated and choreographed fights in db history.
@@E.................First half was still cool when they were limited by the arena tho. They be doing actual moves, flipping around, doing afterimages and special moves
The ending of Piccolo vs 17 is definitely one of the coldest Dragon Ball moments in history. Going blow for blow, hammering each other in the stomach was so tight. If Cell didn't pull up, Piccolo probably would've obtained a W there if 18 and 16 just kept to the side.
@@GhostHyperhex Infinite stamina is just infinite stamina though. Just because 17 can't get tired doesn't mean that 17 is infinitely powerful. 17 starts sustaining some damage which means that if Piccolo could just overpower him with one good technique, he could've made 17 at the very least out of commission. But 17 would probably whip out that barrier whenever he needs it.
Hey now, camera panning to 16 is pivotal. You always need that one chill/high MF when a fight goes down to keep things in perspective; Otherwise you got everyone throwing hands. Sometimes you just need birds and static to calm shit up.
I always see this fight as the turning point for Android 17. For maybe the first time in his life, he is experiencing the true thrill of even combat. And against a being no less an outsider than himself. If it was Krillin who redeemed 18 by showing concern and mercy, then I think it was Piccolo who redeemed 17 by showing him a great time.
Yea, like he said the fact that they didn't even bother blocking was crazy. They probably didn't wanna spend more on the budget or ran out of ideas for them to do. That fight was wild though for sure.
Them not blocking anymore meant they were pouring ALL of their energy into the punches they were throwing. Has nothing to with budget. It meant that they were trying to put the other down ASAP. 17 had unlimited stamina, and Piccolo almost defeated 17 once already. Both had reason to end the fight QUICK.
I like how the Androids are totally different in present day and the future timeline, in the future timeline 17 would sit in the back and watch 18 take care of business until they decided to team up, in the future timeline 17 was cold and heartless but in the present day he's the more laidback of the two Androids, in present day it is also 17 who seems to be quick to the trigger in these fights while 18 sits in the back. Very literal total opposites beyond just being less cruel overall.
The source material confirms 17 is the strongest artificial human which is why he later becomes above SS blue level while 18 is just strong not god tier. So whether he hangs back or steps in first is all down to context of whether they need the strongest android or not
Idk if you notice the present 18 and 17 they didn’t really kill any innocent people most of the time they just mind of their own business the only bad thing they done is stole a van but they did leave the worker alone
The choreography of this fight was insane like Piccolo always had his demon fighting style, but Android 17 just fights like a pure brawler on the street the fight is crazy good but Piccolo actually studying martial arts gives his style the slight edge.
this was the best fight in Z and showed how good piccolo really was the fact piccolo could read his movements and predict back attacks in his blind spot when androids can’t be sensed says a lot of his stature
First time I found respect for Piccolo was when he brawled Freeza. This was an old school "rumble in the jungle/2 men in a phone booth" boxing match, just the type of brawls Piccolo likes, raw dawg!
For me was when Piccolo reversed the Evil Containment Wave back at Kami, caught him in a flask and then just ate that flask so they can't simply free Kami. Piccolo was always badass and smart.
I'm hoping in the second part of Super, they allow Piccolo and 17 spar. They already made up with a handshake, so now they can actually have a reoccurring friendly rival dynamic. Piccolo hasn't had a rival since the start of Z.
That shot of 17 zoom punching Pickle with that speed trail will forever be one of my favorite moments in DBZ fighting. Like it's such an unrepresentation of speed since anyone who moves fast in DBZ just blinks and disappears. 17 moving like an after image in motion, and that's so freakin dope!
This fight between Android 17 and Piccolo is definitely one of the most evenly matched fights in dragonball. I honestly think that had Cell not intervened, Piccolo might have lost due to 17 having the stamina advantage.
Idk. I think Piccolo would’ve won had he used Light Grenade on 17. The way 17 ran for cover when he saw Piccolo use it tells me he wouldn’t had survived it.
@@selfloathinggivesmelife7810 I respectfully disagree. The light grenade is powerful, but it doesn't guarantee a win for Piccolo. 17 could possibly block the technique with his barrier or dodge it, and Piccolo knows that he can't waste too much energy against an enemy who doesn't run out of stamina.
@@StareachValcin Since they were evenly matched it's difficult to tell who would've won. Piccolo can regenerate while 17 cannot. 17 has endless stamina and his energy cannot be detected.
@JackOfen oh look, we've found a troll... everyone? You make yourself look really stupid when you speak like that. Yes, a lot of people in the Z community do agree it's one of the best fights in Z history. I'm sure there probably are some who don't care about the fight just because, for whatever reason. Maybe they just don't care much for Piccolo. Or androids. Who knows? I don't, and neither do you.
This one is my favorite fights cuz this the only fight in the whole series where you know the combatants are completely equal. Piccolo was stronger than 17 just barely, but 17 had infinite ki. Shit woulda been a One Piece fight, lasted like 10 days🤣
Goku vs Tien? Goku vs Piccolo? Super Saiyan Goku vs 100% Frieza? 16 vs Cell? Trunks vs Goten? Majin Vegeta vs SSJ2 Goku? SSJ3 Gotenks vs Super Buu? SSJ3 Goku vs. Kid Buu? Plenty of fights where character were equal in strength.
im addicted to your vids bro, instant sub. if you can or want please do Goku vs Vegeta (any of the fights in Z) or Goku vs Piccolo in the 23rd world tournament. 😄
Man you really made me laugh. I hope to see more from you. Idc what DBZ fight you cover just keep the jokes coming. I'm definitely gonna steal that low battery joke. you got a sub from me brother.
If I’m not mistaken Piccolo was holding back in his fight with 17 because he knew once he bodied him he’d get rushed by 16 and 18… he might have fared well against 18. But I don’t think anyone knew how strong 16 was. Probably would have beaten Piccolo
Exactly. He also said he had one last attack that could destroy 17, and the androids knew what Piccolo was capable of. So it makes sense wanted the fight to end.
The man KILLED me when he said "i dont know why the camera went to 16, he jus thinking bout birds and tv static" 😂 got me crying when i heard that. Yo, thats the best way to explain that expression tho.
I have never seen your vids but for this to be the first one made me subscribe because I have said for over 15 years that this is the best fight in DBZ in my opinion.
This fight is so therapeutic to watch after The History Of Trunks movie. Really shows just how strong Piccolo was, and makes me wish future Gohan could have seen this fight,
at 4:23 when Piccollo is about to slam him and 17 reverses it I remember shouting "OOOOOOOHHH" because that kind of thing didn't happen much in the show.
How the Cell thing should've gone: Piccolo smacks the fuck out of 17 one last time, getting his first actual W since he killed a Raditz that Goku held in place for his eight minute charge-up move. As Piccolo is about to deliver the finishing blow, there's an explosion of debris that blinds him; and then all you see is Cell's tail swallowing the fuck out of 17 before he gets recycled. Then out of the ground emerges second form Cell to put hands on Piccolo. At least this way Piccolo gets the W against 17, but nothing else changes plot wise.
But then Android 16 could not get into an actual fight at all, unless he was boosted to Imperfect Cell level. Also, you're acting like Piccolo didn't get a W against Android 20. Yeah, he didn't kill him, but it's still a win.
Mf you ain’t got no business having this fire commentary and edits and you gotta have at least 100 episodes I do not care what the video is give me more of this shit I’m high asf and crying
