Depends on your vagina. Tampons were always uncomfortable for me and I got yeast infections every time I used them. Pads got so much better once I switched to pure cotton pads. I get allergic reactions to latex found in some pads. Can't use latex anything! Makes it hard to have sex unplanned because I have to make sure the condoms are latex free. I avoid hookups for that reason as well as the other major reasons to abstain.

Definitely, that was sort of my point; how a woman is "supposed" to be is such a narrow idea that a lot of people seem to think that everyone who doesn't fit their mold is a typical NLOG. My life choices, personality or interests are just as valid as anyone else's and as long as someone isn't hurting others they should be able to do whatever they want with their own lives. If someone wants to go for a weekend shopping trip, just go; as long as I don't have to participate I have no reason to care.

Idea: build a community of Andrew Tate follower types and slowly brainwash them into being decent human beings
@ladyalicent705
@ladyalicent705 11 месяцев назад
Even better idea: Build a community of Andrew Tate follower types, host a massive meet and greet, and then hire several undercover agents to go around telling various people that someone else said that Andrew Tate’s muscles are actually Not That Big. Watch chaos ensure as they roar like Apes and tear each other apart
@dylanisntvibing
@dylanisntvibing 11 месяцев назад
Another idea: Grab a mannequin that doesn't have its head attached to it. Buy a slightly oversized mr potato head and put some fake sunglasses on it and paint it with the color of a raw potato and shove a cigarette in its mouth. Grab an extra device, preferably a phone, download a voice-based AI chatbot that responds to people speaking to it and answers back with some rather horrid advice and the most confusingly obscure bullcrap, preferably in the tone of how Andrew Tate speaks. Gather a ton of no life socially rejected hardcore Andrew Tate stans and tell them that they have been selected to personally meet Andrew Tate in person because they have done well on their progress to escape the big bad matrix and become super alpha-full-release omega-giganomogaogiga chads. When they come, make them all go into an undersized white room themed after the stereotypical mental asylum rooms you see in mental hospitals. Set the mannequin in an old rusty chair and then make them all go in, and LOCK! Let the AI chaos begin. Watch as they go "wait a minute this isnt my lovely idol im meeting, where the hell am i?!" and start realizing they've been ultimately trolled as the AI laced mannequin starts throwing the most vile and confusingly obscure stuff possible at them in the classic Andrew Tate tone, making those unlucky stans go absolutely mentally insane. Also, be sure to keep them in there for a while. Keep them in there until they start going absolutely mentally insane and start lashing out in violence at each-other as the mannequin gets more and more vile with what it's saying. Only then do you release them back out once someone gets knocked out cold from the ensuing violent rage that has engulfed that blinding white room of eternal suffrage. Here's the catch.. you're taking them out onto an airplane which will fly all the way from that location to.. North Korea! You quickly eject them all out into the middle of Pyonyang with only a parachute and their confused fit of insanity and rage remaining as you quickly speed away out of North Korean airspace without getting shot down. You then fly back and pat yourself on the back, you've done quite a lot. Oh yeah.. don't forget those people are probably dead now as they have probably attempted to use their knowledge of Andrew Tate's BS to try to coerce the North Korean guards into letting them out which only results in them getting thrown into a hard labor camp and probably dying. You've.. done a bit too much trollage now, nice job. 😎👍

I think the "pick me" girl is really a reaction to our society's hatred towards teenage girls, or really girls in general. Teenage girls are characterized as emotional, frivolous, and vapid. The things they like are deemed inherently less worthy, artistic, serious, or meritus (see pop music, boy bands, makeup, hanging out at the mall, pumpkin spice lattes). On some level it's not these pick me's fault that they feel the need to set themselves apart from the image that has been fed to them of the typical teenage girl because that image is treated with such disdain. I'm glad this term didn't exist when I was in high school because I definitely was a little like this. I probably would have been worse if the internet in it's current form existed.

How feminine stuff can often be looked down upon and not taken all that seriously, so in order to try and be taken seriously, girls gravitate towards masculine things. 2.) They are struggling with their own identity and insecure about it, and the only way they can reconcile that fact is to try and find some way to be superior, ie, put other women down. 3.) They're desperate to get laid and think this is what men want (chronically online women taking advice from chronically online men, I think) 4.) They're actually a trans guy.

"I'm not like the other girls." I mean, that wouldn't be an objectionable thing to say if it wasn't supposed to be demeaning towards "other girls." Be different. Be yourself. Enjoy things that aren't "feminine." That's all fine as long as you don't talk down to other girls and treat them like they're lesser than you.

I mean the whole sentence makes no sense. Because who are these other girls? Women make like half of the world's population. That is a TON of people. There is not one type of girl, but instead millions of types. No one is truly unique. And plenty of us have multiple interests. Some of them more masculine and some more feminine. "Not like other girls" is on it's own stupid because it groups women into one big group where we are all the same. It's just not even possible. We are complex beings, ya know
@JustAnotherBuckyLover
@JustAnotherBuckyLover Год назад
@@Garsnoos To be fair, it's a common feeling among autistic girls and women just because there's a whole complex mess of social interactions and unspoken shit that develops - especially during the teens - among girls. It's often super hard for autistic girls to figure it all out, and they end up feeling like... some kind of alien dropped off on the planet and trying to figure out why they don't fit in. Sometimes, being around guys can be easier, because they can sometimes be a bit more straightforward. The difference is, it's not about diminishing "the other girls" it's about trying to figure out why it seems impossible to fit in, why you're always the butt of jokes, always the one on the outside, and so on.

I also grew up with 2 younger brothers and 3 younger male cousins, so there wasn't much space for "being a girl", especially with my dad teaching us that "boys are better". Because of both of these, I became sexist towards my own gender, which mostly hurt myself. I would feel "dirty" when getting my period etc. It's poopie and really destructive. Would not recommend to anyone. Luckily I've gotten better and I really LOVE being cute. Sometimes it still makes me feel strange, but I hope one day it will improve some more.

@@Bobbi._. Absolutely this. We are taught from an early age, implicitly if not explicitly, that the feminine is inferior, and that women are vapid, shallow creatures. So of course when a girl starts to grow up and realizes she is not like that at all, she naturally concludes that she must be different from other girls. I mean personally I ended up thinking there was something wrong with me as a woman because I could never see myself in all the representations of women in media, but it's easy to see how you might also consider yourself better because you're not like those "other inferior women".

So I'll say it like this: if girls like to stand out from other girls, as far as fashion choices, music tastes, activities and what have you, that's fine. Just don't be arrogant about it and put other girls down for liking different things that you like.

That's kinda the thing, though. They're not standing out. There isn't some large group of girls that all act the same. As a woman who has known many other women, even the girls who seem to fit the stereotype really don't on a base level, and girls who really don't can't claim to be wholly unique and different from all other girls because all of them are in various groups (rock listeners, sporty, masc-dressing, etc) that include plenty of other girls. This behavior very very rarely stems from simply feeling ostracized, and instead tends to come from unhealthy coping mechanisms like feeling wrong or inferior for being feminine or rejecting forced societal norms of femininity due to pathological demand avoidance or simply being trans. Unfortunately, we still live in a society that tries to make very young girls choose between dresses and being taken seriously.

Its literally the same thing and the mocha is cheaper 🤦‍♀️ i explained that *very* politely, but she was having none of it. So im like okay, one hot chocolate with espresso coming up. When the barista got the order she turned to me and shes like "so do they just want a mocha?" I saw the woman on the other side of the bar just glare at us. So trying to keep a straight face i said "no, they want a hot chocolate with espresso" 😂

Like a bunch of people have said, I think a lot of teens go through a "pick me" phase, although it might be to different extents. For me, I was a quiet, depressed but nerdy teen and looked down on pop music, instead listening to classical music/musicals. I also didn't get the idea of people starting to date each other, though that might have been because I was actually ace. But the most "pick me" I ever got was probably when we had to play football/soccer in PE and the other non-sporty girls wouldn't even try. I wasn't any good, but would at least try to play

My PickMe Girl phase as so weird. I veered so hard into being Not Like Other Girls that I saw it as an insult. A guy would say, "You're not like other girls 😏," and I'd be like "WRONG, BUCKO, I am exACTly like other girls!" Except I was a violent tomboy who started wearing heeled boots in third grade when I realized they do more damage than sneakers. I tried sticking with befriending girls only cuz I'd eventually get into fights with the boys, but I was definitely some weird mutation of a PickMe Girl I feel 🤔

So I’m a bit older and thankfully went through my “not like other girls” phase before social media. For me though I felt more like failure. Like look at how these other girls know how to make friend groups, and look beautiful. I’m over here feeling like potato among roses. It took me a while to figure out just because something felt uncomfortable to me didn’t mean there was anything wrong with either it, or myself. Like I will never know how to paint my nails, or do a cut crease, but those things take skill and artistry, it awesome for the people who can and like to do those things. Likewise I’m still just as much a girl even though I’m most comfortable unadorned. There’s nothing lacking in me that I don’t enjoy wearing make up. I hope some of these people can mature past this.

@@billcipher8645 it is definitely an insecurity thing. I think a lot of the nlog content is produced by insecure teens. The list included things like having a pixie cut…I knew several other girls with pixie cuts. I understand her pain. She has been bullied but ripping others down won’t build her up.

Thank you for bringing up the "not encouraging burn out" thing. Not enough people talk about how easy it is to get burnt out and how hard it is to come back from and today's grind culture makes that so much easier to fall into. Back in 2019 I worked myself into the ground (working 12 hours a day and a half an hour commute each way) and made underlying undiagnosed chronic illnesses come to a head. I have not been able to work since. I now have horrible spine issues that will only get worse as I age. We really need to curb grind culture
