An amazing pre-war archtop, the sound from this old Super 400 is punchy, percussive, and everything you'd want from such a beauty! From seven-ply bindings and pitch-black ebony fretboard, down to the stunning quilted maple back, this is a really special instrument. We sit down with our resident tech, Tyler Geske, to chat about the time period, the thought process behind the design of the instrument, and a little bit of strumming!

4 years late. Could be and should have been addressed but one devil's advocate thought from experience. Sometimes a badly flaked neck finish that gets sanded and resprayed can leave a line where the old built up finish meets the newer thinner finish if not done expertly. It sure looks like bare crack but then again there's absolutely no splintering lines so it has me unsure either way.

At 2:30, is that a neck repair?

Samuel Reynolds . I’d say it is a repair. He should have mentioned it, great sounding guitar though.
