Glenn-54 Rox! it's been WIND WIND WIND RAIN SLEET SNOW Cold for the Las 3 weeks since ice out...My 54 GEAR Beanie fits awesome and has come in Handy! Thanks for the "HOT TIPS"!!!! Will put those fishing tips to use!!! jd
That doesn't sound like great musky weather at all. Its still winter and 2'+ of ice in NWO. Hope the tips will help in any way possible. Cheers from Canada!
@@54orbust Yes very bizzare" put boat in 1st day of ice out and water was 48 ! WTF? then w cold weather went down to 37...now in mid 40's...been there for weeks
Wished I would have seen this video before our trip to Wabigoon(sweet shirt btw) this summer! Our first time fishing Canada and experienced some wild weather along with some nice weather. Caught lots of fish and a few muskies but feel like this could have helped us hone in on the big ones. Great tips we'll keep in mind for next trip!
Awesome like always! During post frontal conditions definitely try throwing glides some more it seems like that has saved our bacon on more trips than I can even count, that is one thing that I always wonder why more Canadians don't do. Seems like the Eastern United States and the rivers out there really lend themselves to glide bait fishing but we have always done really well in Northwest Wisconsin on them
For sure, we will be using more glides in certain situations this season. I feel like Canadians treat them like Americans treat wtd baits. They are great search tools but low hook up percentage. Thanks for always tuning in, appreciate you brother!
@@54orbust Glenn if you can get yourself an Ashcrafted Honey Badger they're incredible and they're super easy to use. They're also very reasonable pricewise
Maybe next video...choice of lure in heavy weeds/5ft or less, 8 to 10 ft, 10ft plus... Do you also cast deep rock face drop offs, straight 20+ ft near shore... did move some giants In super deep points
Thanks for watching! The Javelin is a tool that fits a different spot than a Suick. We love Suicks, it's a staple bait for shield lakes for sure. The Javelin just has a different roll to it and runs different in the water. Is it worth the $$$? If your looking to have ask the bases covered, ya. If your a weekend angler and only use dnr occasionally, then a Suick will serve you well!
