This is the apple that made me realize that there was so much more to apples than Royal Gala pulp, and by extension the reason I found this wonderful channel in the first place. My favourite apple and I want to grow some one day.
M106 is a semi dwarf tree which means it make supstainal growth for the first 6 years before carrying a fruit load tree size can be controlled thru summer removal of vigorous shoots
Hi I have apple trees egremont, pitmaston. orleans and kidds orange but they are not growing very well of fruiting at all even though they are five years old. They are not planted close together. Any advice as to why they are not fruiting or growing well cheers
+yankeydoodle101 Hard to say. Its mainly soil, climate, trace elements, water and pest and disease issues. Maybe dig around them and apply organic mulch?
did you know the pink pearl apple variety? its an apple just like that in your display pic, did you have any seed or plant of it? i want it, may you have i want like to buy 😀
+adianti titi That's not an apple I grow. I grow old fashioned mainly English varieties. We don;lt do sales any more, only exhibitions, cider production and maintaining the orchard as an educational and genetic material resource. Kind regards.
+adianti titi Fruit trees can be grown from seed but the tree you get will seldom be like the one you picked the fruit from. I am not so certain about pears but I know that the genetic diversity within the seeds of one apple tree would surprise most people. Most fruit trees are propogated by vegetative cuttings in order to obtain trees that are true to form.
+Mike Betts thanks for the answer, I already try to grow some pear seed,,, it's been twice, first time it's from about two weeks ago, and the second time was about one week ago. But I have'nt been get the result. It's not growing, or maybe it's fail. I'll try again,,
