Happy to see the I3 again. Still have one, and more than happy either way it. A 120Ah I3S version and... an amazing 123Ah capacity after 4 years :):)! And it's looking like a new car after all these years with no issues. Enjoy!
LOVE ❤❤ my 2017 i3 Rex. 165000 flawless km . Only changing Tires and Rex oil and windschield wipers . Just Fun zippy and practical . Im a physician doing House calls .... And according to dealer inspection with "over 90 % " Battery capacity.
Kindergarten was a blessing for us. We had more time to take better care of things and our children are very happy with the routine, new friends and new experience. Hope it goes well!
The i3 was / is such a good car man. BMW was on the right path 10 years ago, now they just build suv ice conversions that suck for twice the price. I owned 2 I3s over the last years and even though the range is limited and not up to modern standards it just never failed me. Battery deg is more or less non existent, mine had SOH of 97% after 100k km. The Materials were just nice and it is just a pleasant place to be in. I have a Tesla M3P 2022 now, and although it is superior in software, performance and range topics I still think the i3 is awesome. If they would have made a i3s with a 60kw lfp battery they would have sold millions and I would have thrown my money at them..That would be the ideal car for a lot of ppl...just the right size and 350km of range all the time. Shame on you BMW for dropping the i3.
I sold my new EV and went back to the I3s. And also, still above 123Ah with 98% Battery health. I don't know any other car achieving this. The rumours go that Samsung had a 180Ah battery ready for a last 2022 update. But BMW changed the plans and we all know how it ended:(. Damn, if they just made that last update..
@@pilotandthecity8527 Yeah if I wouldn't need the range I definitely would go back to an i3s as well. It's just such a good concept, I to this day can't believe how they could come up with that 10 years ago and now come up with the stuff they do atm at BMW. Im hoping for the new class next year, but they will be 100k for sure..so not affordable for normale people. A true i3 successor is missing.
The i3 is awesome but at least here in the states it cost like $50k USD. And that was many years ago. You can get an i4 eDrive35 for a similar price! With way more range, way more trunk space, etc. The i3 is a great car, and an awesome deall used. But new, it was a tough sell, and that's why it had to go.
@@Iceeeenif that is the biggest problem, I think it's an amazing car. 😊. And don't forget, it's a car from around 2010, when the final design decision where made. Issues that EV's still have these days, are unknown with most of the i3's! The battery is one of great quality, still for today's standards.
Sorry the visit with Ammery's parents didn't go smoothly. I've enjoyed your Vietnam videos from their home over the years, and was happy to see them visiting you at yours.
Did you try to charge the i3 at the Tesla supercharger? Here in the Netherlands the tesla superchargers are open to other EV's. Somehow the facelift models of the i3 (2018+ ) are able to charge there, but i have the pre facelift 2017 model (like you are driving here) and am not able to charge somehow (Bmw doesn't know why as i can charge at Fastned for example so bmw blames the tesla supercharger)
Hi! The i3 is a very good car, especially with REX. Great for everyday driving 😊. Bjorn can you grab somewhere Cadillac Lyric EV for the tests in Norway?
have you ever thought of testing the stereos in these older cars? not just for fun, but also to have a reference point for those interested in buying one of these older models.
@@brandonpreston84 that generation was used to raising kinds differently. Kids were never treated as persons with any kind of emotional needs. Get it dressed, washed, feed it and that's all that should be done in their minds. Mine are mixed europeans but behave the same.
Bjorn, I tested both Toyota and Tesla and apart for the range, Toyota is even more fun to drive! I did not find anybody mentioning an annoying issue with the Teslas: wheels are different on front and rear and are super expensive. So, if you do 15.000 Km per year and you save 1500 in fuel (maybe), then you will have to pay the same for the tyres change after only 2 years! Tesla, is still heavily overpriced and I prefer to wait and buy a Toyota in 2 years rather than buying a Tesla Today...
I'm not sure about who is selling rims in EU but I swapped my wheels day one to 19 inch 245mm ones front and rear, free massive range gain and no need to worry about wheel sizes anymore. Bjorn has some older videos I think with a "barely legal" thumbnail
You meet a nice girl at some vacation. It turns out she has to be treated like a princess. Spoiled. Too bad she doesn't prefer tractors so you could do things together. Oh well. Keep looking. Wifey needs to get her license.
