The “chunky box” is the advanced safety group package. Have it on my Rubi Edit: there should be a piece lying around somewhere In your Jeep that you’re going to wonder “what the heck is this for lol” well took me months as dealer had no clue (surprise surprise lol) anyhow the piece is to slap on the “chunky piece” incase you decide to FOLD windshield down. *Congrats!!!*
The big chunky thing behind the rear view mirror is the auto cruise control and safety features for auto braking. The cameras are in there. Be ready when you get your new windshield, all that stuff needs to be recalibrated each time.
I get about 13 mpg around town with my 5.7 trailhawk gc, so not much difference. Of course the gc can get into the low 20s on highway drives. But very tempting to do a vehicle swap. :)
Saw one sitting waiting for his owner yesterday in this color. Looks amazing and will look even better with larger tires. Some mods here and there and you have a beast of a Jeep.
I want one now! Love the sound of the Hemi V8. For the haters, If you want better mileage go get a Prius, or a Jeep Wrangler Hybrid/EV. If you complain that it's too expensive, get a Wrangler Sport. Leave the 392 just the way it is for those who appreciate great looking car in a monster V8 Hemi!
Yes, the box on the windshield is for the safety package, you should have received a cover for it too, that's to cover it when you fold the windshield down.
I will definitely try to go as big as possible wuth the stock height. Try 38’s or 39’s. I kind of have the feeling they will fit without rubbing. Great review, just sold my JK RUBICON 2017, already saving for this exact configuration. Love the color and man 392 on Rubicon... just RAD!
Hey Brother, I’d love to see a video of underneath your ride. I just picked mine up yesterday and it’s got mud caked under it as well as rust throughout....was blown away... Wondering if it was one of the Moab vehicles...
The 392 is the same width as a normal Rubicon. 73". A TRX is a whopping 88" wide. I don't want to drive a house down the road. This wins! Before 37" tires, I recommend exhaust cutouts - QTP or other. That 392 has things to say, let it speak.
would love you to put it up on the lift and go over it all....would love to see if it would really fit on a GenRight "rolling chassis" with their new high clearance long arm and shock combo.
Another 2 weeks or so and I will be driving my new 392 Rubicon, very excited. I really don't understand why the first thing new 392 owners want to do is put a larger tires on when they could have spent about 4K more for the option that will get you 110-MPH Vehicle Max Speed Calibration 17-Inch x 8.0-Inch Bronze Beadlock-Capable Wheel 35-Inch Tire Rubicon 392 Suspension 4.56 Rear Axle Ratio LT315/70R17C 113/110S Tires Hinge-Gate Reinforcement by Mopar® Jack Spacer by Mopar® Tire Relocation Kit by Mopar® Wheel-Flare Extensions . I did not order the Extreme 35" tire package because I do not want a 4.56 axle ratio and I like the look of the stock tire's and wheels
I want to congratulate you for getting this. What was the price on this? Cuz Its worth the money. Love your Jeeps. I bought a 2021 Rubcion in black a week ago. dream car always wanted, it’s not a 392. But it’s ok. Hope to see you around Chicago driving it or suburbs. My Jeep is getting undercoating at this moment. Can’t wait to see more videos
Great review No way I’d ever afford one but enjoy learning about them Made do a check on the axle differences Maybe I’ll see you a silver lake sand dunes with it
Lucky lucky! Great review of a great Jeep. I am definitely wondering what kind of gas mileage it is going to get. It can also use wider tires which I'm sure you will address with a set of 37's (my guess).
Hey my man sick Jeep Congrats! I have a 13 Grandcherokee Srt8 which is a really bumpy harsh ride just wondering how it rides around town vs the Mojito are they comfortable for a family? I loved my 11 overland with 5.7 but wanted more. And the srt8 is too harsh
Well it’s about time. My 04 4Runner 4.7 L V8 with 400,000 is getting a bit long in the tooth. Thankfully my 2013 Sequoia 5.7 L V8 only has 210,00 on it. I guess in another 12 years I’ll look at buying a used V8 jeep...maybe.
The 392 is worth every penny and a bargain when compared to my granite colored 2021 Gladiator High Altitude at 55k sticker ( bought 12/20 with 7k discounted) and 25k to 75k for a hemi swap. All the extra goodies make it a great value and I love that granite color. I have owned many Wranglers and now the Gladiator is definitely my favorite. How long until they offer a 392 Gladiator? Did the dealer get sticker or above for it? Seeing your other Jeeps I had to subscribe and look forward to more 392 and Gladiator videos. Good luck and GOD bless you. 😎😍🎉
@@JH-tj9jd I waited 2 years to buy my Gladiator in 12 2021 for a 7k discount ( sticker 55k bought 48k). I am patient and I will never pay sticker or above to a stealership. They will come down or buy one used or don't get one at all. I love the Gladiator I have. 😎
Do more content on the 392. Great video. I ordered beginning of March so I am getting antsy. Did you get half doors? Walk us thru thought process on tires and which tire to run. Nitto Trail Grapplers vs BFG KM3 or other? Thanks!
That’s awesome! We didn’t go with the half doors, but we are already regretting it. Right now I’m leaning towards the Nitto Ridge Grapplers, just because we already have the 40” Trail Grapplers on the Gladiator.
Curious how many miles the dealer idiot's thrashed on it. A Proper Break in is So very important and it looks like both you and the dealer need to learn how to do that. I would no way buy a new vehicle unless I knew the break in. I refused my special order jl diesel when it had 14 miles on it. The dealer had fun with it before I could pick it up. Break in is everything!
Engine improve, powered roof closing/opening, powered door/lock, powered side mirror, powered windows. but the front seats (passenger and driver)remain the same for decades till this present. manual labor power.
I know this is 2 year old, but I love {sarcastically} Jeep owners buying either the Wrangler or Gladiator no matter what engine for "good fuel mileage". You don't buy these for good fuel mileage...you buy a Prius or go all electric with a Tesla. Duh 🤣😂 Jeep forums crack me up with their unnecessary griping on things that shouldn't be griped about. I'm looking for a 392 now.
Got a 2020 jlu sport my mom just got a 2021 jlu Sahara. Need mods. Wish could afford that power. But video in sand take off rear wheel only then 4 high be interesting
I am completely blind and typing with a screen reader called NVDA. Can you please do an interior driving video of this 392 Jeep so I can hear what it sounds like? Thanks. I've always been into Mopar products, and Jeeps are my favorite, especially now since they got this truck out.
I predict the largest recall or maintenance on these new 392 Jeeps will be axel housings exploding, broken steering knuckles u-joints and axles. Put all this horsepower and torque onto the lightweight Dana 44 and you'll have nothing but huge maintenance issues. Manufacturers only slapping in a big V8 engine and doing nothing to upgrade the running. All the aftermarket V8 upgrades are suggesting or will not perform the upgrade without you upgrading the axles to something like Dana 60 some Dana 80s. The first year issue will be a bumper crop of broken Jeeps.
How long did it take your 392 to arrive? I know this video is five months old now. But I am thinking about purchasing one. I am sure it would be easier to get one now almost half a year later.
@@shockerracing glad to hear! I think I’m going to do the Xtreme Recon kit they offer as well. Other than that don’t think I would need to do much more to it.
Same 2021 in November and I want this glad I leased this go with uncertainty of wanting this or the electric. Def switch and financing my 3rd jeep instead because that will be it. Started off with a jk lol
I went to Woody Folsom Jeep in Baxley, Ga. They told me you can not order them anymore. They have all been presold and you can no longer get them. If you see one for sale you better buy it!
I understand the 392 is full time All Wheel Drive and you are unable to use the shifter to put it in 2WD. That being said I also heard you can install a Tazer to bypass this setup. Could you please let me know if this is true. Thanks!👍
@@shockerracing Thanks for getting back to me! If you happen to try it, maybe do a segment on it 😊…if you just try it please let me know. Thanks very much again for your reply!👍
VERY very interested to know about the sound blocking headliners. I’m not sure whether to order regular hard too with the sound blockers or the sky one touch. Can’t wait to hear what you say!
ShockerRacing - Mojito Jeep x Neon Gladiator JT ok good to know! So in summary- sound blockers don’t really make a difference overall, that you can tell anyway in your short time having them? Also I want to add how comprehensive this video was, it was very helpful
@@makeupbychelseyb2681 exactly! I don’t know if they will make much difference for the heat and cold but so far it doesn’t seem much quieter than without.
ShockerRacing - Mojito Jeep x Neon Gladiator JT good to know! Also curious to learn what the 37’s or 40’s will do to the speed once you guys go for it! I’m on 37’s now with a 2.5 lift manual JLU Rubicon and boooyyy is it ever slow! Haha to be expected though
Man ordered my 392 back in January and still haven't taken delivery of it. Very frustrating. Anyways, great video. How were you able to get yours so quickly? Regards, Nick
