I watched literally hundreds of videos on here and owned several mandolins before I realized bowlback was the tone I wanted!(although it doesn't look very rock and roll ha,ha) This isn't actually an old tune. It's a little piece I wrote years ago when I started playing so it would sound like I knew what I was doing when I tried out mandos in the vintage shops instead of just noodling around. Pickle dog is a term the old folks used to call pickled bologna in my neck of the woods.
