A simple recipe for delicious, crunchy pickled green tomatoes. You can salt in special containers for salting - it can be a barrel, a bucket with a lid, a saucepan with a lid ... I salt in special jars for salting vegetables.
Ingredients for a 5 liter jar:
Green tomatoes (as much as you like)
Garlic - 6-8 cloves
Hot pepper -3 pcs (small)
Black peppercorns -20-25 pieces
Bay leaf -5-7pcs
Dry dill with an umbrella - 1 bunch
Parsley - 1 bunch
Cherry leaves -6-8 pcs
Celery (I have not added)
FOR BRINE:
Rock salt (for canning) - 5 tablespoons (for 1 liter of cans, take 1 tablespoon of salt)
Cold water - 2 liters + 150-250 ml (the container must be filled to cover the tomatoes)
In a day, the brine will become cloudy, the process of pickling tomatoes will begin. When fermentation is complete, close the jar with a lid.
