Chris, what a blessing to hang out with you and to check out some of your epic pickups in person at the National! Congrats, my collecting brother! So happy for you! 😊👊 Your '39 Play Ball Ted Williams was the show-stopper for me!🤯🤯🤯
Wow, Chris, you had an incredible National! Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts on the experience, and of course thanks for showing those fantastic cards. Hard to pick favorites, but the '40 DiMaggio is my top target for 2025, so that was probably it for me. But that '39 Williams and '50 Robinson, and that Hassan Cobb .... simply great pickups.
Some great pickups - love the W515. I agree with you that if you want unique stuff, you need to be at the biggest shows. You might get lucky with a local show every now and then, but the National and Strongsville are where the selection is. I'm in Canada, so even more frustration with local shows, which are all hockey based. Keep up the great videos.
I like that trade you made to get the Williams. I have the the '50 Jackie in a PSA4 too, and I would have made that exact same trade if I could have. The Williams is high on my wish list.
Chris, I really enjoyed your haul from the National! They were such great cards. Congrats! Also, you are such a great asset to the hobby community. Love your willingness to give of your time and always help others.
What an amazing haul Chris! It was awesome meeting you in person at The National. I wish we had more time to chat! Love the Feller and the Hassan Cobb, and the Mathewson T206 especially!
Awesome haul Chris!! Love the Double Play Joe D/Keller!! Great Matty! The Cobb and Joe D Playball are awesome! The 50B JR is one of my favorites! Congratulations on adding some epic cards to your fantastic collection!
Hey Chris. I was looking for a 1955 Duke Snyder Topps card myself. Hoping to find it in a PSA 5, but could not locate one. Very nice card you have in the Snyder.
Chris, Sounds like you had a wonderful time and your haul of Joe D's, Jackie, Gehringer, etc are straight bangers. I love the Wheaties pick ups. I have a few golf card from that run of cards. I respect that your first duty was to family and friends, taking care of others is generally worth more than getting cards for ourselves. I recently also picked up the Clemens in a PSA 6 with the same mindset of not overpaying for what can be a crazy expensive card. Next I gotta get the Puckett from that set. PS, leave some of the Double Plays for me as thats a set I too get really excited about. Cheers from Denver!
Great cards. Eventually I want to get to the National. Every year I have planned to go my jobs wind's up moving me during the National. I loved watching 👀 your coverage of the show. Keep up the great work.
Wow, amazing pick ups at the National, Chris! Love your strategy of leveraging your Jackie to also pick up that beautiful Teddy! Well done, sir! Thanks for sharing!
Came over from Math Bowler, you picked up some great classics!!! The T-206 Matthewson is the favorite closely followed by the strip GCA ( Hes a Former House of David great)
Congrats on your haul Hope to see you at Strongsville in the coming year It never gets old about shows and the stories behind them Always a great watch
Your collection is amazing Chris. I am spending a good amount of time in the Chesterfield, MO area lately helping out my aging dad with health issues and his affairs. Are you anywhere in that area? Would love to grab a beer sometime.
@@chrisfrommissouri I went to Mizzou for a year (and majored in keggers)! I would, but this Month's trip is next week. I am also down the week of 9/16. Anything going on then?
I enjoyed talking with you at the youtuber meet and greet. The Kiner and 1935 Goudy are nice looking cards. Really enjoyed talking baseball cards with you.
Hi Chris, Thanks for your video of your pickups from The National. You got terrific cards. Truly a vintage paradise! I am a new subscriber and I really enjoy your demeanour and narrative. Best Wishes, Peter
Great cards - love the ‘55 Snider that one is high on my list. That ‘50 Feller is a great picture of him. Wow the Williams and DiMaggio double plays are big ones! Great trade on the Jackie! Enjoyed talking with you at the Meet and Greet. Totally agree feel like a kid in a candy store at The National. Picked up a dream card and had a great time.
@@ArduinoDavid No. I was looking for a possible dealer that had the same card in a lower grade so I could use that equity and get the lower Grade Jackie and another card.
Hi Chris, nice video and very nice pickups. Many desirable cards. Love those Double Play cards. I have a question for you. When you were getting the Bench autograph Johnny said something to you that cracked you up. If this was not a private conversation can you tell us what Bench said that made you laugh? Just wondering. Please do not answer if what Bench said was confidential. Thank you
That video about what Bench said to you is an excellent video. The story about the church sale and the outcome was over the top. And Johnny, what a classy guy. Thank you
Fantastic Wheaties. Love ‘em! The 50 Bowman Feller is a beaut of a card. Wow, just amazing cards throughout the video. Sounds like the National was so impactful. Congrats on everything!
I really enjoyed seeing those pick ups at the meet and greet. Thank you again for those connections there. I enjoyed hearing your story about Cal Hubbard’s grandson.
