This was a super weather day for hiking with clear views for miles. It was a pretty chilled out walk with gentle slopes in the main. A bit steep the route of took off Ling Fell tho. I'm glad you enjoyed the views from the hike. Thank you very much for watching 🙂👍Paul

What a nice day you had for a hike! A 10 km hike is a really great workout and good for a day out. Picturesque the whole way through, nice mossy green grasses and paths. Nice to see this part of England, and hearing the birds there. I hear some familiar and some not recognized to me. 👍👍🏔🏔

I've ALWAYS wanted to visit England specifically to visit the Lake District; I always thought you had to go all the way up to the Scottish highlands to see places like Scafell Pike in Britain; it's amazing there's a place in England with such dramatic mountains and picturesque valleys like this. Hi-ya, Paul wow, your opening with pretty music surprised me. It seems to me the trail here looks like water run-off??6:01 How can a novice hiker figure out the trail without any marking? I see pretty green along the trail in the UK's countryside 10:19 Beautiful weather! I thought the UK is having nasty rain??? I always liked dry stone walls, cool! haha I will get lost here 15:58 I don't see trail, but massive land in front of YOU. It is spectacular to see panorama view without any obstacles 16:48 Bravo!!! Lake District...haha I learned..I see the lake in distance. Up and down ...and again...quite work-out for sure. Soothing sounds of the water toward the ending.. Oh...hahaha it was a microphone, not your body hair..hahaha joking I would be exhausted if I try this trek. Well done, Paul. See you next one.
Hi Ms Kayak, I have been kind of working on my video openings. I figure out the trail on this one cos you can see faint markings up the hill side and I knew the hill was Ling Fell so head on up. I got lucky with the weather over Easter. Of late the weather has been pretty awful. On this one you could see to Scotland and a big hill called Criffel. In my next video I climb up that big hill you see many miles away in Scotland. Ha ha oh yeah that was the dead cat on my microphone. I use a wireless microphone a lot now. Hi Dave, this was a super few hours out in the lesser spotted sunshine. It was on Easter Saturday. The views to the coast were super clear and I hope to hike up that big hill in Scotland you can see across the Solway Firth next month, Criffel. The views off both fells were great. Great couple of little fells these. it looked like you were well chilled and enjoying a gentle stroll after what sounds to have been quite a hectic schedule... bit slower than your normal pace but no need to rush on such a beautiful day.. Yes indeed that "Pile of Rocks "🤔 called Rivings is "one of em Birketts" 😆😅 I secretly think you've been doing some research 😀 The fells in that area do seem to even out a little and while perhaps less dramatic are still beautiful in their own right as you have showed off perfectly in this video. Love the views over Bassenthwaite towards Skiddaw and the vibrant colours of springtime. I still need to do Ling Fell on my round two so might just do this route on a warm summer's evening, or am I getting carried away here 😆😅🤣
Nice couple of fells to do on tired legs and they were pretty sore I have to admit but no rest for the wicked. Oh yeah Rivings was one of those birk thingies. I enjoyed the walk and the took the long circular route which also meant less people. It a very clear day for views and I got lucky again with the weather. Thank very much for watching 👍🙂Paul

Hi Matt, well it turned out to be 4 hikes in 4 hikes plus a run. That run wasn't pretty tho as my legs were very sore. Better to keep em moving tho. That hill was very steep coming down so some sticks would have been useful. They was in the boot my car ha ha. I was surprised how lucky I was with the weather. You did a strenuous hike yesterday, a run this morning, and now a 10 km hike. I feel tired just listening you saying that. I suppose it's one way to try and get rid of any lactic acid. Lovely walk though.

i saw 3 cars and thought poor paul, he'll have to dodge all those other people. 🤭 actually i didn't think you'd see anyone. but dog walkers and then top ling fell, more people, luckily none at sale. 😉 i actually love seeing people take advantage of places like this. this really was so pretty with all the animals in the fields, little babbling brooks and tweety birds, but watch the thorns! did i miss you saying the temp? blue skies can be so misleading. your clocks spring forward on the first day of spring? do they fall back on the first day of fall? it's different here. i wish we'd just ditch the whole thing. thanks for another excellent hike, paul! 🛴❤
Hi Anne, this one was quite hermit friendly once I got off the road and the route I took also helped. Sale Fell was actually more busy than Ling Fell but not when I was at the summit. These are 2 of the easiest Wainwrights to summit so that usually means more people. I've already done most of the highest ones. This was quite a chilled out walk to keep the tired legs moving. I don't think it was the first day of Spring but the clocks did go forward that evening so 1 less hour in bed. Thank you very much for watching 🙂 Paul

Firstly which websight and how far in advance did you order this gorgeous day? We haven’t seen one of these in what feels like ages! We haven’t done this area but seen it on a few people’s videos it always seem quite flat compared to some of the really mountainous areas but it is still beautiful!
