I would never have thought to sew this together like a four patch instead of a nine patch. Well done!

This beautiful Winding Ways quilt might just have pushed me over the edge into buying an Accuquilt Go Big! and those templates. Goodness, having perfect pieces really does make better piecing a possibility.

I have the Accuquilt Go Big! which I splurged on because my arthritis kept me from doing what I love. Drunkard’s Path is one of my favorites and for some reason I totally forgot how to piece curved shapes. Oy! So soon I can go back and try again. Among your many excellent skills is that you repeated the process repeatedly. And I truly love your voice: so calm and matter of fact which conveys that people can be successful. AND you never say, “This is easy.” I hate that. It’s pure genius that you just say that you’re going to show us the how to. Putting the “frown” on the bottom. Oh, my. What a load off my shoulders. The Purple Thang is among the single best tools I have. You’re so matter-of-fact that hopefully you can show people why you use it instead of a stiletto. Metaphorical flowers coming your way‼️ 🌷🌺🌻💐🌼🌼🌼🌸🌻🌺🌷🌹

Wow Melinda! Thanks for the wonderful comments. Drunkards Path is coming up on my list. I love that block and I will use my AccuQuilt for that one. A student in one of my classes many years ago was having trouble with curves. She made a lot of garments and when I told her it's almost like putting in a sleeve, well she went to town with those curves and hasn't stopped yet!! HaHa!!! Thanks for watching.

This was a very good demo on how to piece the curves without pinning so a definite thumbs up for that. However I've been pausing the video whenever you show the back and it looks like some curves are pressed to the corner piece and some not. Am I correct and if so is there a definite path we should follow to get a flat finish? Even on a longarm quilting through "bumpy levels makes such a clunky noise that I try to avoid thick points.

You are correct that the pressing is not all the same. I can't remember, but Imight have pressed the center seam open. I try to let the block tellme which way to press. If pressing to one side or the other helps me to interlock the seams, then I do that. If the seam becomes too bulky then I try to press whichever way makes it less bulky. Most often I press to one side but occassionally I will press the seams open. Great observation! Thanks for watching.

What can I do so I don’t lose the points when I join the blocks together

Try using a scant 1/4" seam allowance. That usually works for me.

I always watch the commercials so you get credit but I'm not watching a 35 min commercial on skin care. You should complain your not getting your revenue

Cheri, I appreciate your support, more than you know! I like to focus on the viewer's experience. I don't get as much revenue, but I do get some and I'm not concerned at all! I want my viewers to have great experiences, learn lots and enjoy making awesome quilts! It's up to me to make fun and informative videos and the revenue will come. Thank you again for watching and commenting. Best wishes!
